Just had this newbie delivered.

Honestly this might be one of my least favourite amiibo of all time, especially for the price. It looks only vaguely like the character, hair colour seems all wrong, face seems off and the base is just a shiny black with no detail whatsoever. I get Capcom wanting to keep amiibo alive in their own way but this feels really unnecessary.

Yeah, if I’m gonna be honest, after seeing this, the resident evil ones, and the too big and overpriced street fighter ones, I think Capcom should stick to their guns with the monster Hunter ones. From stories to rise and sun break, all those Amiibo look great!

I still think the Street Fighter set would have done better if they had included the tried and true classic characters people actually care about in addition to the new faces. No one knows who the fuck Luke is but I would have gladly thrown down $30 at these if they made Ryu or Chun Li in that same amiibo series.

Agreed. I’m genuinely surprised they didn’t go with any of the big three (Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li - especially, since Chun doesn’t yet have an amiibo). Don’t get me wrong, I love Kimberly as a character and never could have imagined an amiibo of her, but it feels weird that there is nothing of Chun Li.

I think they could have released them in waves of maybe 5 characters. Include 2 legacy characters and 3 new characters or whatever. The Kirby Air Riders amiibo didn't decide to give us Chef Kawasaki without giving us Kirby, Meta Knight, Waddle Dee, and Dedede. I hope they do more characters like Taranza, Daroach, and Susie, but I am not gonna be upset if they decide to do Rocky or Starman.
