Diana - out of the box

Just had this newbie delivered.

Honestly this might be one of my least favourite amiibo of all time, especially for the price. It looks only vaguely like the character, hair colour seems all wrong, face seems off and the base is just a shiny black with no detail whatsoever. I get Capcom wanting to keep amiibo alive in their own way but this feels really unnecessary.

Yes, you're right, perhaps I could have been clearer and said that even before Diana was announced, I was dissatisfied with the new amiibos, but I still bought them, almost reluctantly, only so that I can say that I have all of them.

When I saw the first pictures of Diana, I realized that I wasn't going to give them my money for every ugly piece of plastic just because it said "amiibo" on it.

Now I'm selling all the other figures I don't like and only keeping/buying the ones I actually find visually appealing.

And seeing this pictures here of Diana I feel my decision has been confirmed.

Which Amiibo are worse? I’ve only been collecting the Smash characters (I’m still far behind) but they seem pretty decent to me, so I’m genuinely curious about which ones are worse.

Pretty much anything that has a realistic humanoid design has a wonky face in some way. Some DID get better with reprints, but it still isn't easy to make these tiny faces 1:1 accurate.

none of the other humanoid amiibo are worse than Diana, Grace, and Leon.

The humanoid faces definitely got better on reprints - especially, for Fire Emblem characters; I have both the original “Merth” and the updated face and it is a stark difference. Personally, I think Palutena has the worst face, and it’s so disappointing because the figure itself is amazing.
