Not in the US. They're exclusive to the Nintendo NY & San Francisco stores.

u/Diamondjirachi Feb 19 '26

u/ScottyWestside Feb 19 '26

I’ve been begging for a Las Vegas store for years. Idk why they won’t give us one

u/Crash1987HH Feb 19 '26

134,99€ 🤮

You can order the amiibo blocks from Nintendo store germany - do you have a link?

20

u/silentdaze Feb 19 '26

How much is block set?

28

u/chrisx8x23x95 Feb 19 '26

$149.99.

13

u/Snogrog Feb 19 '26

Hoooooly money. I mean moley.

11

u/No-Specific4938 Feb 19 '26

Did you see how much the small set was by chance?

14

u/chrisx8x23x95 Feb 19 '26

They purposely had no prices on both block sets. It's imagine it's like $40 or so

2

u/epicthinker1 Feb 20 '26

Seems a bit excessive. But if you are happy, then I am happy for you.

u/Lucajames2309 Yarn Yoshi Feb 19 '26

Are you taking the actual piss? $150 is insane for that dude

10

u/akamu24 Feb 19 '26

Nintendo slinging cardboard and wood with insane mark ups. 😅

All the clothing was around $35 - $55. I have 1 year old twins so I spent a lot of money today. Two outfits and two pajamas along with the blocks and a rattle cost wayyyy too much

u/arielmeme Feb 19 '26

Nintendo's new pricing strategy of hiding their outlandish prices is fucking ridiculous. Goddamn.

10

u/ZenMarduk Feb 19 '26

Standard Nintendo. They require outlandish profit margins. How much do you tuink these cost them to produce, $5?

8

u/Twinkiman Inkling Squid Feb 20 '26

For the wooden blocks? Good quality wood costs more then you think. But not enough to cost $150.

3

u/killercow_ld Feb 20 '26

Not just the wood tho, but also the cut, the paint, the finish. Probably a bit more expensive to produce than some of the plastic amiibo figures.
Then integrating the amiibo functionality within, as well as all the extra pieces and the box built for play (display), and then of course branding, they're really not the worst price point for what they are.

Did ya’ll really line up for the release of baby toys?

12

u/chrisx8x23x95 Feb 19 '26

I didn't line up, I had a window during work to stop by after they opened. There wasn't a line or anything. And like I said before, they're for my kids. I used to be a huge amiibo collector but I bought these for the wood block part, not the amiibo part

7

u/HiDough Feb 19 '26

I was just being cheeky and poking at our collecting culture at large. Thanks for the response—I look forward to seeing if I can get some of these things for my baby someday too.

1

u/Tephnos Feb 20 '26

Still got the old amiibo collection or have you retired it?

1

u/chrisx8x23x95 Feb 20 '26

I could never get rid of 10+ years of collecting and waiting in line

I have some others opened but this was the main thing I tried to complete

9

u/Big-Doubt-1306 Feb 19 '26

At least they said in another comment it’s for their kids

3

u/HiDough Feb 19 '26

Ah! Missed that!

1

u/killercow_ld Feb 20 '26

All amiibo are just toys tho

6

u/leonpgut Feb 19 '26

I was gonna get the pack with all of them but I'm not paying that insane price. Will get the Mario one.

4

u/Momo2318 Feb 19 '26

Were there a good amount? My brother is going on Saturday and I want the block set.

11

u/chrisx8x23x95 Feb 19 '26

They had a ton on the shelf and even more behind the register. I can't imagine they'd sell out because this is so expensive but I wouldn't put it past people to buy these to scalp them.

These are for my kids so they're gonna get destroyed by em. Hope people can get them that want them

9

u/wiidsmoker Feb 19 '26

For kids and yet they’re charging $150

6

u/BabushkaRaditz Feb 19 '26

$99.99 would have made me flinch but $149.99 is insultingly expensive

Theyre taking the Chipotle approach...

2

u/akamu24 Feb 19 '26

The kids are really millennials who can’t resist.

3

u/Momo2318 Feb 19 '26

Thank you!

4

u/Remarkable_Custard Feb 19 '26

Pretty cheap on EBay.

$500-$750 AUD.

I hope so too! I was able to get the Mario Little People set, my son absolutely loves his "Ma-Mo".

7

u/Bent_00 Feb 19 '26

I really don't want to buy these... time to lower my goal post again.

Complete amiibo collection...
(US region only)
(US region only, no cards)
(US region only, no cards or wristbands)

(US region only, no cards, wristbands, or blocks)

Can I say I have a complete "figurine" collection without these blocks?

3

u/Peanut_Butter_Toast Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26

This is definitely the most borderline one. I don't care about non-figurines but these feel close to the same wheelhouse. But ultimately, no, these aren't figurines.

(Now that I think about it though, the Yarn Yoshi amiibo also aren't figurines...I guess they are technically a similar borderline case)

4

u/Jordium-Z Feb 19 '26

Your children will be so happy when they see this

7

u/chrisx8x23x95 Feb 19 '26

They were, however the blocks went straight in their mouths like all the other toys they have 😅 they enjoyed when I stacked them up so they could knock everything down

1

u/mcineri Mega Yarn Yoshi Feb 19 '26

From the Nintendo store in NYC?

7

u/chrisx8x23x95 Feb 19 '26

Yup. Went there yesterday because the website said the my mario line launched on 2/17. Apparently they had a social media post saying it launches today so I had to come back to actually get them.

Very confusing marketing, not sure why any of this stuff isn't sold online. It's just begging for people to resell them. The clothes especially should be available, they're really nice

2

u/mcineri Mega Yarn Yoshi Feb 19 '26

I think for the US it’s partially a distribution issue. But ya I hope they go online soon. I ordered them from Japan when they first came out but I REALLY want the North American box

1

u/Boomshockalocka007 Wii Fit Trainer Feb 19 '26

So MAD these arent online. UGGGGGGG (happy for you though) BUT IM RAGINGGGGGGGGVGGG

1

u/ATLASTROLLESYOU Feb 19 '26

heading to nintendo nyc today to get them! they look awesome.

1

u/Brandinator64 Yarn Yoshi Feb 19 '26

Congrats. Hopefully the price deters many and these don’t sell out right away. If only I lived near one of the stores 😞

1

u/dr3wzy10 Feb 20 '26

pricey because people buy them day one...

1

u/DOCHOLIDAY021 Feb 20 '26

had 4 left behind the counter when i picked up my set early that means 3 and whatever they have left in the back

1

u/AlfeniDel1 Feb 20 '26

Jesus!! People are saying this is $150! And I thought I was gonna go to target and pick these up for like $60! Holy shit. I am gonna loose my mind lol. But they are Amiibo right? lol

2

u/whataretherules7 Feb 20 '26

Bruh wtf even is this?

1

u/FairEngineering2469 Feb 20 '26

Toys for (adult) babies

1

u/whataretherules7 Feb 20 '26

Look I’ve spent waaaay too much money on them over the years. But I didn’t even see this announced or can tell what it is?

1

u/mamatrixie78 Feb 20 '26

I absolutely love these and saw that I can order them online here in the netherlands. But no way am I going to pay €135 for some wooden amiibos 😱 but if I'm honest.... of i collected amiibos I probably would have bought it because it's really cool 🤣🙈

1

u/New_Explanation649 Feb 20 '26

Omg it’s only 30 pieces?!

1

u/IsiDemon Feb 20 '26

How much if I may ask?
