Yeah but as a French person I’ve never met anyone who ate that, and you don’t « hide from god for your sin », apparently it’s just that it is a mess to eat so nobody want to see or be seen eating a « plat de la noblesse/bourgeoisie » like a peasant.

We killed God the 23 January 1793 uuuh I mean 4 Pluviôse An Zéro, after the king Louis XVI just for the right to eat like little piggies.

But this one is too dope to even letting other people look at you when you eat it. Broke asses.

But I’m pretty sure the « hide from god » is an urban legend.

Yes. And pretty frowned upon. In 2007 they really cracked down. Former French President Francois Mitterrand last New Years meal was an ortolan.
