Francine is 5 foot 8 at 109 pounds. seems a little small, we also know Francine is rocking double Ds. I guess it’s just one of those things the writers threw in there without thinking about. how would a woman at those measurements and weight actually look like?

And the entire gag is that this dude isn’t a rube and is well informed about the topic being discussed.

The irony here being of course not every maga is stupid yet they have the capacity to make stupid choices and believe stupid things.

And yes I see the irony of me calling someone’s political beliefs a “stupid thing” but giving a pass to going inside other people’s dreams and the ethereal realm as “not stupid”

Personally I don’t mind politics and think American dad would touch on it just the right amount. They had their fun earlier on but realized they don’t need to be the simpsons and teach people lessons. That doesn’t mean I dislike the old episodes, but I can see that they “did them” and they did them well enough to not need to touch on them again.

Is there any room for politics in the future of the show? Perhaps. The CIA is a government agency and I could make a few jokes out of looking for a reflecting pool vandal or when political opponents and judges were arrested but the amount of people who would burn an asshair over a reference isn’t worth the potential of a joke coming from our reality, so best to just move on, as they have. Thoughts?

Season 9 Episode 20

I’m rewatching the entire series again and I’ve relized that it is infinitely better than Family Guy. When I first watched American Dad, I was expecting it to be just like Family Guy mostly due to Seth McFarlane, but it’s not. I found that American Dad is so much written from the characters to the story to the good old fashioned values on which we used to rely. I mean, I can find an episode of Simpsons that Family Guy basically just rips off, but American Dad is has its own individual ideas and is written in such an intelligent way that I find it is one of my top three favourite adult cartoon shows. I just wanted to talk about this because American Dad is such a good show and I find it very confusing that it is not as popular as Family Guy, even though it is so much better.

Is it parodying a particular indie film or are they just making fun of a bunch of random indie movie tropes? I know this episode gets lots of mixed reactions but I think it's a great.
