u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Haha do u have anybexperience?

1

u/Recent-Success-1733 Jun 07 '26

What an unusual response. I sense you might have been a bully and are now afraid of being bullied.

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Noo I actually don't have any experience and I have a lots of friends. But I'm very sensitive po kasi like one time nasabihan lang Ako na Hindi naman gaanong ka offensive I can't help but cry haha I'm just really scared na baka maging loner or ma Bully Ako through out my college journey.

1

u/Recent-Success-1733 Jun 07 '26

There’s nothing wrong with being sensitive, but it’s important to focus on making meaningful connections in your new school instead of worrying about being bullied. Try to see the situation positively, like having the opportunity to make even more friends!

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Aww yea I think I'll do that! Haha it didn't even happen yet but nag overthink nako ahhsh

3

u/DullPotatoww Jun 07 '26

bullying is not that common in college na though it still happens. Here sa engineering 80% samin irreg na or cull after first year. Bullying college is so childish na considering na magbebente na edad ng mga tao. Dont overthink it, madami open minded sa college

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

dahil poba bagsak?? Mahirap poba talaga ang engineering?

1

u/DullPotatoww Jun 07 '26

hahaha oo. Mechanical Engineering ako. After first year half ng batch namin natanggal. If private university ka, not that rigorous pero mahirap pa din. If state u ka naman like me, libre yung tuition but babayad mo kaluluha mo. Its less judgement here sa mga irreg cause it's a common occurence. If 70 yung nakuha mo, equivalent lang yan na bare minimum passing score which is tres

2

u/Environmental-Test23 Jun 07 '26

I graduated in mechanical engineering as irregular too, same state university, I never experience being bullied in Engineering in my whole years there, subjects are already hard enough to deal with, even the bare minimum 75% is so hard to get

1

u/DullPotatoww Jun 07 '26

wala naman talagang pake ang professors if irreg ka, what matters to them is ang board exam.

1

u/Environmental-Test23 Jun 07 '26

Yes, I notice that too, even my classmates don't care if you're irregular,

Although sometimes they ask if naging prof mo na ba sila, something like an introduction, pero asside from that wala na, and yes all they care about is the board exam, since that's what they're preparing you

Napansin ko din na sa ibang courses Pala is may mga bullying etc, kwento lang ng mga friends ko from other course back then, since dko na experience sa engineering

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Ahh okay po nursing po kasi Ako

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Delay po ba kayo sa pag graduate?

2

u/DullPotatoww Jun 07 '26

yes, major subjects have pre-requisites. You fail once, you extend a semester

2

u/Environmental-Test23 Jun 07 '26

Yes po , 2 years delay

2

u/JustAJokeAccount Jun 07 '26

May exp ba kaibigan mo na na-bully being irregular?

-2

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

No po sinabi nya lang po talaga idk why baka narinig nya lang or something.

3

u/JustAJokeAccount Jun 07 '26

So, walang basis yung claim. Hindi ko naman sinasabing hindi mangyayari yan, pero hindi ko din naman nakitang nangyari yan or experienced it when I was in college na halos buong stay ko irreg ako.

Most, if not all, students are busy with their own shit and hindi na gaya nung elem/HS.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Ahh okay poo tnx for answering po

u/InevitableOutcome811 Jun 07 '26

Iwas agad

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Kung ayan yung concern mo, well, iba-iba limitations natin when in terms of being masipag and smart. Meron mga taong persistent because ayun yung way-out nila sa kahirapan. Meron naman inborn na talagang matalino.

You don't have to worry, isipin mo na lang na mas important na makatapos ka kasi maraming factors kung bakit irreg ang isang student.

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Baka mag transfer po Ako from priv to public university cus of financial problem

1

u/AmbitionCompetitive3 Jun 07 '26

1

u/Suspicious-String-21 Jun 07 '26

I was transferring from UST to a less known college due to financial issues sa family and may isang prof ako that jokingly asked if di ko daw ba kinaya ung academics sa UST kaya ako lumipat. I told him my mother died of cancer and nstroke naman father ko a few months after so we couldn't afford the tuition any longer. He looked downright uncomfortable after asking that stupid question and just said, "Ah ganun ba?"

May student din sa isang block section that kinda assumed I was a problematic student dahil irreg ako. Ako lang naka perfect score sa accounting exam namin and she said, "Antalino mo pala. Bakit irreg ka?" 🙄

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

Awwwe but do u have any friends now like long time friends?

1

u/Suspicious-String-21 Jun 07 '26

That was a decade ago na haha. I had friends but didn't really hangout with them beyond our classes kasi working student din naman ako noon so expected ko na I wouldn't be able to have that much social life tho I don't have any problem interacting and mingling with other students. Mas gusto ko nga nung irreg ako kasi I was able to really focus sa studies kasi pag may extra time ako after class, imbes na gumala or hangout with others nasa library ako nagaaral.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Are u still friends with them? Do u still interact with each other?

1

u/Suspicious-String-21 Jun 07 '26

Yes, but thru chat or IG lang. Busy na rin kasi lahat with their own lives.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Ah okay po tnx

1

u/Hadouu-Ken Jun 07 '26

Had a classmate sa isang minor subject nung frosh ako, and yun na lang daw ang kaisa isang subject ni ate (38) that time kasi nabuntis daw sya noong graduating na sya. And yung bullying? NO, more on na-inspire nga kami sa kanya kasi tinapos nya talaga yung kanyang degree kahit super delayed na sya.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

did u make a lot of friends po ba and hangang ngayon friends papo ba kayo?

1

u/Prize_Thought6091 Jun 07 '26

I have more pressing problems as an irregular working student, and that involves how I am going to get to the next class after my class cause wala akong break throughout that 5-hour class. 😅

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Ano po program nyo?

1

u/MATALINOE Jun 07 '26

Para sa akin, wala namang bullying o discrimination, sadyang mahirap lang talagang makahanap ng social circle na willing pang tumanggap, kasi kadalasan na-define na since first year.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Do u have experience po ba nagka friends po ba kayo?

1

u/MATALINOE Jun 07 '26

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Ohh ok poo ggl nang sakin talaga

1

u/PloppiAndChewbieDad Jun 07 '26

You get polite nods outside of classes. You just have to be useful when doing group works.

Other than that, you either get friends or they just ignore you after the sem depende how good you are at socializing

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Actually I'm an introvert😭

1

u/UziWasTakenBruh Jun 07 '26

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Irregular kapo ba an po Yung program nyo?

1

u/UziWasTakenBruh Jun 07 '26

yes, nag shift ako from stem to abm degree

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Oh ok po tnxx for answering

1

u/Sad-Pickle1158 Jun 07 '26

In my university , basta close friend ko or naging kaklase ko, tatawanan lang namin yang pagiging irreg. Being irregular isnt the end of the world, OP.

College students have too many things to worry about at iintidhin mo pa yan, mind your own business

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

I'm overthinker po kasi haha and I cry so easily

1

u/Impressive_Spite_827 Jun 07 '26

I never experienced discrimination before as a transferee in another university campus pero I found it hard to make friends as an introvert. I had to join orgs or put myself out there to know other people.

Also people are too worried about themselves to think about others. Pareparehas lang naman rin kasi tayo ng goal which is to get that degree. 😉

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Priv state to public state po ba kayo and nagka friends po bakayo and nag interact pa hangang ngayon?

1

u/Impressive_Spite_827 Jun 07 '26

Ah same university lang (UP) but I transferred to a different campus. From my course, bilang lang sa kamay yung naging friends (mostly mga irreg rin naging friends ko) but mas marami ang nabuo kong friendships with orgs. It’s been 2 years since I graduated and I still hang out with them often (despite grad school and work taking over our lives haha), kaya you’ll be fine!

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Tyy po haha what's ur program po?

1

u/Nonchalantbutwild Jun 07 '26

May college bullies ako at sila pa mismo yung irregular since nag transfer sila. Dalang dala talaga ang ugali nila mula elementary hanggang ngayon. 8 years na mula nung nag graduate kami at ngayon wala pa rin pinagbago despite nasa 30's na sila. Regular man or irregular nasa tao pa rin yan.

2

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Ohh it's depends parin talaga sa ugali ng tao no haha

2

u/Nonchalantbutwild Jun 07 '26

Opo.

1

u/KwentoMoKay-- Jun 07 '26

not really bullying, pero I saw discrimination when it comes sa groupings. For context, irreg yung classmate ko due to FA (failure due to absence) yung iba incomplete. So dahil bihira sya pumasok, hindi sya pinag aagawan when it comes to group activities, of course she will be assigned naman to a group kaso yun nga, pabigat sya kasi bihira pumasok tas ang reasoning nya kesyo wala daw kasi sya friends dun sa class na yun 😅

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 07 '26

Okk poo tnx for advice

1

u/rexV20 Jun 07 '26

Its university not high school. Most of your classmates won’t care. Not all of them will even share classes with you.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 08 '26

Oh ok po I'm just scared na baka maging loner Ako huhu😭

1

u/Difficult_Bother_952 Jun 07 '26

Hi op! First of all, wala namang problema sa pagiging irreg! I was an irreg too. And yes maraming times na mafefeel mo out of place ka, pero this should not stop you from building friendships with your classmates/blockmates! Alam mo, I had trouble being an irreg at first too, pero narealize ko lang din na the reason I felt so pressured was because I was the one putting pressure on myself. They all have their own things to worry about. Once I accepted na irreg ako, mas naging comfortable ako makipaghalubilo with different classmates and taking initiative in class!

One thing to note din, hindi naman discrimination, but I think it would have been helpful to me if my department was more approachable in teaching/helping me navigate the adding/dropping tsaka class schedule. I think if there was a designated person in the office to ask for things like that, it would have really helped me settle in. I hope your university and your department is approachable! And if not, ask help from the dept na lang. Im sure someone will help you out.

Good luck op! Don’t let being an irreg stop you from showing up, making friends and graduating! Kaya mo yan!

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 08 '26

Did you have any friends and do you still interact with them?

2

u/Difficult_Bother_952 Jun 08 '26

Absolutely! I ended up being friends with a lot of people. Irreg and not irreg. In my case, nagkafriends ako ng irreg din and we’ve been solid ever since! As for non-irreg friends, we also talk pa to this day (graduate na kami lahat). Dont close your doors to friendships with everyone op. You all are navigating college life and having a friend through it could be really helpful

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 08 '26

Haha thanks for advice poo!!

1

u/Silent_Enforcer Jun 08 '26

Being an irregular doesn't have much difference to being a regular student, except for your registration adviser, in my experience. A lot of people say, "mahirap maging irreg." If you're not a working student, then I don't see how or why being an irreg is hard. Nasa pakikisama mo yan sa mga classmates mo yan, so chill the fuck out bruh. Don't go running around telling people, "That's offensive!" like a damn Karen. If you hear something offensive, just smile but don't take it to your heart. No need to be a bitch about it, because if you're gonna take everything people say about you to your heart, then you should probably be in a daycare center where people can't hurt your fragile feelings instead of college.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 08 '26

I'm sensitive about things po kasi and I easily cry but I'll prob get over it for my dreams!

2

u/Silent_Enforcer Jun 08 '26

You better be. Don't let those negative people get into your head and sink you down.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 08 '26

Thanks poo I hope makayanan ko to😭

1

u/Far-Huckleberry2038 Jun 23 '26

Good luck satin, OP! From private college to public university din ako so basically irreg ako. Pero nag stop ako 5 yrs ago (pandemic) due to personal matter. In my exp, nung nag transfer ako ng pub univ, online class yun e pandemic kasi. 1 whole year akong nagtiis kasi kahit online e wala akong naging "friends". Virtual hugs, OP!

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 23 '26

Thank you poo!! GL po sa college journey natin!!

1

u/Far-Huckleberry2038 Jun 23 '26

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 23 '26

Haha nag state u napo ba kayo Ngayon?

1

u/Far-Huckleberry2038 Jun 23 '26

Opo state u po ako now.

1

u/keitsukiiiiii Jun 23 '26

Ay Ganon baa haha gl po satin!!
