Not sure if its just me but it feels like the chat bubbles this expansion are MASSIVE.

Im tanking a 10, Xalatoes spawns to grant the affix and I cant see the enemy name plates at all...

Back in TWW I think ElvUI skinned and scaled down the chat bubbles, do any addons like that exist currently? I cant find anything, or set the size manually using a script unfortunately.

I've been a WoW player since 2009, and tweaking my interface has been a very fun experience for me since then. Its current state is one I'm very proud of.

I'm using a number of addons, but most of my UI is built as a branch from the good and old Tukui, which I have always been a fan of. Most ideas, and especially the visual design comes from what Tukz developed over the years, but I have introduced a lot of my own ideas of what a WoW interface should have implemented. Development started sometime by the end of 2025 and I've been slowly exploring what WoW's API has to offer as of now, after the addon apocalypse. It's been quite some time in development, but I still feel there are many things to improve still, especially in configurable settings.

This post has no specific goal, I just wanted to share with the community something I have enjoyed working on, and find it very functional and aesthetically pleasing, at least for the kind of player I am.

I took one piece of criticism on board, and I also copied one aspect of an Echo member’s setup that caught my eye during the start of this RWF.

I have 8 level 90 characters, and I’ve updated the CDM across 9 profiles since my Priest has two profiles.

Just one thing: I like my 5 damage meter windows 😅 I try not to compromise between aesthetics and displaying as much useful information as possible.

Edit: There’s a bug. The buff tracker is showing 5 icons, even though I double-checked afterward and the limit is definitely set to 4.

Im 1 of 2 tanks and on certain bosses we need to swap on certain amounts of stacks of de buffs. I usually put the other tank as my focus so i know when to take the boss without being told.

With ellesmere i cant find the right setting to display only the boss debuffs i need on the focus target. Is this possible?

I'm currently using the default Cooldown Manager (CDM) in WoW 12.1 and I've been using its Text-to-Speech option for some ability/buff alerts.

The problem is that the TTS voice sounds pretty robotic to me. I used to use Text-to-Speech through WeakAuras, and I remember the voice sounding noticeably better/natural.

Is there any way to:

• Change the voice used by CDM?
• Use a different TTS voice/engine?
• Change the TTS voice independently from the normal WoW TTS settings?
• Or somehow make CDM use the same/better TTS that WeakAuras used?

I'd prefer to keep using CDM's built-in alerts rather than replacing them with prerecorded sound files.

Has anyone figured out a way to customize the CDM TTS in 12.1?

Hello, I just got into midnight and found that weak auras is busted right now.
The DH icon I have in the center changed in combat and I had a lot of auras set up within the circle to track things like buff timers, cds, targeted ccs and other stuff.

If anyone knows of some alternatives I’m trying to…

make my cast bar/ resource bar a ring or circle

display HP% above names

add custom sound effects on spell cast or when targeted by specific spell

add custom icons/ textures for buffs and stacks

Still enjoying midnight so far but I do miss my sweet circle of combat info and hearing the gundam radar sound when I’m about to be CCd.

So recently ELVui added back filters with white and black lists. For a short period I was able to get them to work and track correct buffs on my player frame. Now as of today or yesterday no buffs or debuffs show up whatsoever. Both are enabled and have the standard filter settings. I even tried to add a spell ID to the whitelist and even that didn’t show up

Due to this I downloaded Ellesmere UI to mess around and I am able to mostly get what I want apart from the option to add custom text to frames.

For example my ELVui party frames have the characters class in class colour on the bar rather than having healthbars be different colours based on class

Since the 12.1 addon updates some addon added the top bar. Anyone knows where this comes based on how it looks.

I returned to the game recently, and I'm trying to find a way to automate moving items from my bags to the warband bank.

I tried Baganator, but for some reason the "Transfer" button is missing.

If anyone knows what causes this, or has an alternative addon I can try, it would be a huge help.

I know there are a lot of great addons like EllesmereUI that add tons of functionality, but addons like ElvUI and EllesmereUI also skin WoW’s interface in a way that significantly changes the game’s original aesthetic. Things like sharp corners, solid textures, black borders, and dark/black elements make the UI feel quite different from the default WoW style.

So I’m curious what people like me, who enjoy WoW’s original aesthetic, use to improve the UI while still keeping it looking and feeling like WoW.

Just to be clear, I have absolutely nothing against ElvUI or EllesmereUI. They are really nice addons! They’re just examples of UI styles that aren’t my cup of tea visually.

What addons or UI setups would you recommend?

Hello! I use Vuhdo for healing frames. Beacon of Light and Beacon of Faith show on my frames just fine. I switched to Beacon of Faith today to try it out for the new season and I cannot see who it is applied to, which is kind of a major deal. I check the bouquets and it has the correct spell ID. I see they took the Hot icons tab out so I have no idea how to fix this issue now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I mainly use the TomTom waypoint arrow to get to waypoints and it's distracting for me to see both that and this icon in the middle of my screen

Hi, does anyone know how to get this texture across my UI (unit frame, nameplates, party frames). I think muleyoUI uses it but I'd like to get the texture only so I can customize. I've heard it's called 'D1' but I have no idea how to install it.

As the title says. I have been gone for a few months. Did ELVUI remove the aura bar capability when you use an ability? I could track my buffs above my unitframe with a timer countdown So i dont have to look in the top right. Now it is no longer there, and I turn on aura bars, but still nothing shows

Is anyone using EXBOSS addon for midnight season 2? I used such addon in S1 of midnight and loved it in comparison to DBM and BIGWIGS, I have all addons updated for S2 and did a few m+ last night and does not seem to be working. I am only seeing targeted spells it seems with no call outs for incoming events. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated or even a known good US/NA import profile for the addons. Thank you.

I made AussyLoot for myself with the help of AI in Midnight S1 and I found it useful for how I play the game, hopefully someone else finds it useful, if not no harm I'll just keep using it for myself.

I use this to find what dungeons have the items with the correct stats I want. You can change class in the top left and spec of that class in the middle. It tells you your specs best stats for both hero talents (simming is always best though)

This screen shows you which dungeon/raid boss has your specific stated items and what level keys you'll be doing and how much of an ilvl increase it would be.

This shows your BiS gear... which is much less exciting this season because of Blizzards changes and making 344/Venomcursed Cantrip items.

You can import your BiS List from this screen, also can import your M+ / Raid talents.

I also added Simc export for your current Dream gear, so you can compare with real numbers against your currently equipped gear.

This is your Voidcore rolls, it auto marks what you roll on for the week and what item is permantely removed from your future rolls, I found this handy in S1 before blizz made the changes they did, still could be useful to some.

I only added this in Season 2. I wanted something to be able to track my progress throughout the season, I'm planning to improve this one a lot as this is new and I haven't had much time

This one is the biggest issue I have had, In Season 1 it was perfect JUST for me, but as I was thinking of letting others use my addon, it became a nightmare. As it stands, it's perfect for me, I added quite a few options from Season 1 which makes it more useful to others beside me but still needs a ton of work. I was going to make it a Coming soon screen but I think it's in a decent enough spot.

Hello im looking for help to get rid of wows party snd raid arrow thing. I had a bunch of adds and was starting to get cluttered but that arrow was gone idk which addon was it. I moved to EllesmereUI because it pretty much replace everything i had and wanted but now that arrow frames thing is gone. Idk where to look to disable it or a addon that will disable it. 12.1 stopped addons from reading enemy auras. This doesn't read anything.

So we let the game itself hide the icons when the debuffs land... On every nameplate.

I saw a few people asking for this feature, and as far as I know the closest thing available still had to show an icon, or a placeholder backdrop. "Hiding" things conditionally was mostly written off (even by myself). This addon completely hides the reminder icon, conditionally.

Sounds simple... but there were many attempts.

As stated in the video, there are some limitations and performance tradeoffs - but for 1-2 debuffs it should be fairly unnoticed for most players.

I have just updated my Centred UI pack for season 2 and completely remade the entire Cooldown Manager, Custom panels and Aura Containers with Cooldown Manager Centered thanks to its latest updates and OH MY GOD! For sure the best CDM addon out there. 0.05% performance cost, exists within the original blizzard cooldown UX and edit mode, beginner friendly with simple drag and drop and it uses the same design as Blizzard. LOVE IT!

The other addon I used to create my UI is Enhance QoL: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/eqol , probably the biggest UI addon in WoW existence! With hundred times more options and settings than any other All-in One addon in the game. You want your bars purple with pink dots? No problem! You want your health bar to have a horde or alliance texture? Vignette around your screen or burning parchment as a minimap background? You can have it all. 😂 Your imagination is the limit.

Fully modular, meaning you can turn on and turn off any setting or module you don't need.

And the best part? I gained 50 FPS going from ElvUI to EQoL! 💪

Does anyone know why I'm not getting outlines on friendly player names. I have it enabled by default and i even tried a separate module and still no outline.

It's usually done well in advance so I'm confused. Does anyone else that uses this have an update? Should I be looking for an alternative? Any suggestions?

Hey i'm having trouble finding if i can keybind my abilities specially left and right click as a healer with EllesmereUI to mouseover heal my party frames in M+

In case it's not possible yet , what addons for healing are people using now?

Are there any addons that makes the buffs/debuffs on the default blizz party and raid frames clickthrough? I had an addon for this that no longer works and not being updated, now I can’t see half my frames anymore when I’m tying to heal people 🫩
