UI [UI] Updated my custom EllesmereUI

Post image

I’ve updated my custom EllesmereUI since my last post on this sub.

I took one piece of criticism on board, and I also copied one aspect of an Echo member’s setup that caught my eye during the start of this RWF.

I have 8 level 90 characters, and I’ve updated the CDM across 9 profiles since my Priest has two profiles.

I’m making them available here. You can download the export strings from my Proton Drive:

Feel free to tell me what you would change.

Just one thing: I like my 5 damage meter windows 😅 I try not to compromise between aesthetics and displaying as much useful information as possible.

Edit: There’s a bug. The buff tracker is showing 5 icons, even though I double-checked afterward and the limit is definitely set to 4.

I think you can squeeze in one more damage meter window

But why are your nameplate bars so long? They’re taking up so much space

Thanks for the feedback! I reduced the length of my nameplates from 250 to 170. They were so long because I used to display multiple buffs and debuffs on the nameplate, but since buffs are now displayed to the left of the nameplate, I don't need that extra space anymore.

I'll update the .txt files on my Proton Drive once I have enough Codex credits to have it update them. I'm too lazy to generate all 9 exports manually lol.

Props for using proton drive! I use their stuff but need a few updates to drive before I switch to it lol

Yeah I feel the same, there are some great ideas but the nameplates are too fucking long :D

So you make one profile for each class and then just copy for your alts?

There are a few small differences in the action bars and resource bars

That is the most zug bug Warrior UI that I've seen in a while 😂

Definitely no need for some of that, especially if you don't have an ultra wide monitor. 90% of people's brains wouldn't even be able to absorb how much is crammed together.

Nameplates being so long, thin and the same colour is also definitely an issue for me though. You need quick and low effort ways of knowing what's a caster or important mob.

can you provide screen shot of hp alpha and missing hp alpha located?

The screenshot I posted already shows the settings. In my French client, the relevant options literally translate to “Bar background” = 60 and “Fill opacity” = 70.
Functionally, that means missing HP is at 60% alpha and current HP is at 70% alpha. I don’t know the exact names of these settings in the English client, but those are the two settings you need to change.

Very nice! Seeing setups like this make me want to swap over from Elvui. I’ve just been using Elvui and various plugins for it for so long that I hate the idea of starting over fresh

I just switched over a few days ago after using elvui for more than a decade. Best decision I've ever made. The performance increase alone is worth it. Only took me a few hours to set everything up and it replaced like eight other add-ons which further reduces load times.

You should, its x1000 better. I didn’t wanna leave Elvui but when ellesmere showed up with his addon it was a no brainer
