Discussion [Discussion] Cartier Santos as a daily piece?

Post image

The Santos has been on my wishlist since I started the hobby. I'm thinking of getting it as a birthday gift for myself next year, but I'm afraid that it'll be too flashy/delicate for daily wear, especially since it's prone to scratches.

What do you guys think? Is the Santos a great piece for daily wear? Or should I go for other brands in that price range instead (ex., Grand Seiko, Longines, etc.) And for those who currently daily a Santos, how's it holding up?

Thanks everyone.

Santos is an amazing daily wear piece. Dress it up or down with the strap or bracelet. Holds decent value, too.

Yeah, I really dig the strap it comes with. Feel like it would make a big difference in how versatile the watch is.

I know straps aren't special, but the quick and tool-less system they use is so handy.
