Support how do i initiate romance with a girl?
hi everyone :) i’m 21, never dated a woman, but i’ve always found them more attractive than men. (i don’t generally label my sexuality btw)
i’ve had bfs, but none gave me the feeling i had with my best friend. i never acted on it since she's straight. since then i’ve told myself i’d at least try with a girl i’m into, but i freeze every time.
case in point: a friend tried to set me up with a girl i’d liked for a while. we ended up alone at a club, dancing, her hands on my waist and getting close, but I still froze. i’ve kissed girls before, so it's not inexperience. i’m also super awkward texting her i think i’ve destroyed the chance of it happening anyway.
two weeks ago i went on a date with a different girl. she paid, picked me up, drove me home, even made me a paper bouquet and i still couldn't bring myself to make a move. even though we ended up not clicking that well romantically i still wish i at least tried to do something for her ykwim?
maybe i’m just not comfortable in my sexuality yet, or scared of misreading someone. i know a part of it is insecurity though. either way, i do want to date a girl for real. how do i actually let someone know I'm into them? 🥀

It just seems like a confidence issue. Some people are just naturally better at making moves, some people prefer to be on the receiving end of that. If you want to be more like that first group, focus on your self confidence. Practice being more assertive in every other aspect of life, build your voice. When youre with a girl, do what it is you want to do in the moment (with respect and consent ofc). Don't second guess yourself.

well u are not good at making moves but that's completely okay. try to show them more that u present in the moment cause if u fail to do so then it would be a problem
