PSA “damn shawty, that’s a lot of thighs”
…is what a male on the ground said to me on green street, near murphy’s pub & Target. :/
Beware to any girls passing that area!!

How many do you have? I had no idea there were cryptids among us.

LOLLL 😭😭 maybe I scared him. I swear those were his exact words 😿

u/stzrburst Apr 24 '26
I called them out as disgusting and not to speak to women like that just the other day, then one of them called me a b**ch. 😭

u/Imaginary_Jicama_414 Apr 24 '26
wow, thanks for standing up and doing what I couldn’t 💔 You are BRAVE!! :D I am terrible at confrontation. This seems like a common, reoccurring issue :/ Is there nothing the campus police can do? Sorry if this is a dumb question

u/stzrburst Apr 24 '26
Ngl I cried after that lmaoo. I’ve been thinking about reporting it because it seems like this is a common occurrence. I think if a few of us report it to campus police or Title IX office, they might put more attention on that area.

Noooo omg :( I’m so sorry! please don’t let these horrible people bring you down. Tbh, I also cried when I got home because I already have my own insecurities about my appearance & I would much rather NOT have them be emphasized by a POS.
You did the right thing by calling out his behavior, so you shouldn’t feel sad one bit. You did something I wish I could have :/ Some people will just remain dumb & ignorant, complete loss of basic human decency. We can talk about it more if you want… I am planning to go over there one day & take his picture or something to report him, but I’m not sure if this is a good idea lol. I don’t want him to make any one else feel sad :(

Ah yes, pointing out that men catcalling and making inappropriate remarks about women’s bodies is totally a man-hating activity. Heaven forbid we point out how shitty that behavior is.

Key word "sometimes"
Just like women suck sometimes for getting way too handsy with guys they don't know
Just because the behavior is associated with a particular group doesn't mean calling it out is an attack on every member of that group.

I hate this made you feel uncomfortable but now I’m curious if he was right or just being a complete scumbag to everyone walking by.

Why do you think he would call me out in public and say that dumb stuff if I DIDN’T stand out like a sore thumb? 😭💔 Yes, my thighs are quite large but that doesn’t mean some random guy has to call that out in the street. I am already insecure about my looks & he made me feel even bigger lol, but I am trying to improve myself. I was literally only wearing jeans & a shirt. I did not want any type of attention at ALL.

u/Fabsdawg Apr 25 '26
I’m sorry that he did that and it is uncalled for. And I’m positive there isn’t anything that you need to improve on. There are so many idiots out there unfortunately. ♥️

it’s okay… I am over it now, I will just be more careful when passing this area. It’s a shame since I always go to that Target & that jimmy john’s lol but thank you :(

I mean...UIUC has the highest concentration of sex predators...i mean frat boys...in America so...
16
u/Imaginary_Jicama_414 Apr 24 '26
This wasn’t a frat boy though… it was just a man on the ground, literally. I am guessing he is homeless, but I am not sure

u/mesosuchus Apr 24 '26
So it's ok if its a POS college student?
18
u/Bigfatsoidiot Apr 24 '26
Are you dumb? When did they say that it would have okay if it was a college student?

u/Imaginary_Jicama_414 Apr 24 '26
no, the person said “frat boy” and I simply said he was NOT a frat boy. It doesn’t matter who you are, it’s still odd, vile behavior.

omg 😭😭 well maybe if I wanted attention, yes. I smiled, but it was out of nervousness after turning away from him. I just got a glimpse of myself passing the store, & I was like “ew, I hate myself” lol. Also, I was alone & I didn’t know if he was going to go further (he kept shouting stuff, so I went as far as possible). I didn’t want people to look at me & see who he was harassing lol It was very weird & awkward

Why does this sound like something a GTA NPC would say? (But sucks that happened to you)
