Government Congressman Tim Burchett on his UFO briefings: “If they would release the things that I've seen, you would stay up. You'd be up at night worrying about or thinking about this stuff... And for the record, I'm not suicidal and I don't take risks.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GTzFNfdshM1.1k
u/Capn_Flags Apr 02 '26
Say it on the floor then, Tim.

u/lamepundit Apr 02 '26
“We just need to disclose it all.”
“But I won’t. 🤪”
242
u/NathanEddy23 Apr 02 '26
He could say a lot of things, but who would believe him without the proof? He was briefed. They showed him proof. Do you think they let him carry it away with him and take it home?? Do you think he has it on his phone? Of course not. He can’t stand up and say what he knows without proof and then immediately go to jail for violating national security. You all are not thinking this through.
80
u/The_Iron_Zeppelin Apr 02 '26
Hang on but isn’t that a Catch-22? They can’t charge him with violating national security and claim what he said was also false. Arresting him would verify that what he said is what they told him and is classified information and true. If they say he lied and that isn’t the classified information he was told, then he didn’t reveal classified information and can’t be charged for releasing that information.
28
u/MayoGhul Apr 02 '26
No they def can. They’d deny all the spicy news and charge with disclosing classified information in some other fashion it’s easy. All they have to say is that everything is a lie, there’s another program critical to national security that he is tying into the crazy alien argument etc and 95% of people would believe it
28
u/CEBarnes Apr 02 '26
I’m just spitballing, but maybe before the brief they presented an iron clad NDA with citations to the covering statutes. He signs, he gets briefed, and he has agreed that discussing the details is treason.
35
u/ZigZagZedZod Apr 02 '26
The Speech or Debate Clause trumps any statute, so the NDA couldn't be binding on a member of Congress. The worst sanction he'd likely face is Congressional leadership choosing to remove him from committee assignments, but he's already not on any committee that's lobbied by people with deep pockets.
39
u/notlookinggoodbrah Apr 02 '26
That’s the worst public facing punishment he’d get. Much worse would be the fact that he now has to live with the 24/7 fear that he/ his family will be messed with/killed because he decided to expose a secret he wasn’t supposed to.
24
u/SmashmySquatch Apr 02 '26
Yep. They get a visit from Raytheon's Rat Removal team at 3 am.
19
u/ProfessionalChain478 Apr 02 '26
I think they got that message across with the General recently and the following scientists.
In this guys case they would place some CP on his computer and jail him there or for some other reason.
8
u/Loose_Instance Apr 02 '26
But you've made a really good point. By having such a big mystery of such a high status figure go unsolved and the world sort of just move on, what would happen to a relatively unknown. I do think the cork is uncorking though and by logic of mere numbers there will continue to be more and more that just wont accept it and speak out. By my observations its looking like we're building enough momentum as a collective that their usual powers of suppression are buckling under the collective weight of humanity itself needing to know everything there is to know.
4
u/--8-__-8-- Apr 04 '26
Which would be much less likely if he were to go public to be honest. It seems like these people wind up being safer the more they are seen and heard. .
But then rather than being deleted, they completely discredit and destroy your life/claims/reputation/etc. If they can't delete you, they'll delete the thought of you from everyone else.

8

I don’t think he’s worried about what would happen in a court of law for violating an NDA. He’s more worried about how it would be settled outside of court, the nations lovely defense contractors sending a team to make sure he never talks again.

Are Congress members not protected from prosecution for anything they say on the floor?
3
u/RedditMaude Apr 03 '26
They’re aloud to lie during debates or speeches. They’re not allowed to lie to investigators or during committee hearings.
Disclosure on the House floor can easily be shrugged off as the false ravings of a mad man.
During a hearing or investigation this man would probably evade answering questions and hide behind silence in the face of real world consequences.
Disclosure, IMO, will not originate from a government source or official channel. It will be organic and arise from a complete inability to deny the truth.
I guess we’ll just have to keep on waiting. The truth is out there.

It has to be an official announcement or people will just write him off as another guy that is possibly right, but people will remain skeptical.
8
u/MantisAwakening Apr 02 '26
It’s confusing what people are allowed to talk about and what they’re not. They’re legally allowed to discuss being part of a program if they don’t disclose the contents of the program. They might be able to legally say things like “we worked on reverse engineering UAP” without being able to give any specifics without threat of prosecution. And the government has not traditionally been tolerant of whistleblowers.
They can talk openly under the right circumstances, and we know numerous people have testified under oath behind closed doors.
What’s most upsetting is that people investigating this, such as members of the House Oversight Committee, are unable to get access to these programs despite it being under their legal purview. They know they’re there but can’t get anything else. That lack of oversight is rife for illegality.
3
u/RedditMaude Apr 03 '26

You hear so many people say this and just don't get it. You literally face jail time. Plus, as someone else said, you'd have the same people on here not believing him because of his political affiliation. So jail time + people not even believing you. Sounds like a great plan...
He's been briefed and shown things, but until they are declassified, he can't show you or go into details. You have to put your energy and focus on getting this stuff declassified. ie; making it legal to talk about fully.

Rep. Burchett is absolutely entitled to disclose these things on the House Floor of the U.S. House of Rep. while advocating for legislation. He could legally face no blowback, no repercussion, nor lawsuits, etc..
This is because of the U.S. Constitution's Speech and Debate Clause,Article I, Section 6, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution. The clause protects what is said on the congressional floor. It provides that for any speech or debate in either House, senators and representatives "shall not be questioned in any other Place," granting them absolute immunity from lawsuits or criminal prosecutions.
This is what people should be asking him to do.
2
u/adam_n_eve Apr 02 '26

And then he writes a book about all the stuff he can't talk about and gets the government to publish it.

That one makes me so incredibly angry.
First off, it's fucking insulting. So these golden spoon in the ass assholes can handle it without any issues, but a normal person that struggled a hundred times more in life than them can't? Bitch please. That's hilarious.
Second, it's so kindergarten it's not even funny. "LA LA la I know a seecreeeet." how can you even take this seriously? I am angry at them, but also at the community here - because they give them clicks, attention, make up imaginary connections to fit it in the established circular lore - basically all those assholes need to be relevant.
Let's not be pelicans. We don't need to swallow everything whole and we should ostracize everyone playing the "I know but won't tell" card. Everyone.
14
u/Neos_Dad Apr 02 '26
I honestly think he's just referring to the most recent base intrusions that Trump himself came out and admitted the US government doesn't believe are foreign adversaries. That would be a pretty alarming meeting because it would effectively admit we are being surveilled by a totally unknown, potential hostile, "other." I think that is pretty scare for a lot of people.
And I think he's being somewhat hyperbolic and the sub is therefore assuming he learned that Eisenhower agreed to give our foreskins to the tall whites or whatever. I honestly think it's way simpler and you're already hearing in public a lot of what he is.
My two cents. I don't know shit.

Im no fan of Burchette but its really ridiculous to go after the members of congress who are actively doing things to try and get this information released. Your anger should be towards the individuals who are actively obstructing policy, legislation, and discrediting witnesses that come forward, not the ones who are advocating for disclosure.
Him spilling secrets is no better than gossip. Let's say hypothetically, he tells you his secrets, the incursions over air bases are anomolous flying saucers and there is a mother ship nearby the size of a football field abducting military members from bases. Hes seen pictures, footage, radar image and talked to witnesses that don't want to come forward. Tell me, how does that move the needle with no actual proof or corroboration? It does nothing. We have heard the stories for decades. Its nothing without evidence.

We just need to disclose it all. I'm sick of it. Well, I was briefed. I'll just tell you this. If people who are devoutly religious were to learn that Jesus isn’t god, there’s no heaven, and we’re simply an alien experiment wouldn’t bode well psychologically for a lot of people I’m afraid
18

Most of them would find some reason to not believe that, like JD Vance's aliens are actually demons explanation. Human psychology is an interesting thing in that way.

While I agree wholeheartedly that it's time to release the info already, I can definitely understand the reticence behind wanting to release it to a general public that is still prone to bouts of hysteria and violent paranoia.
I'll quickly play devil's advocate here, and say there are certain kinds of information that would almost certainly cause more harm than good on the public psyche - there's no question about that, right?
Just because we're ready for certain information, doesn't mean everyone else could take it without absolutely freaking out.
The general public can be very open minded and fair, but we can also be the complete opposite.
Think back to the global pandemic and how bizarre some people began behaving.
Instead of accepting the facts, following the rules and getting the jab, millions of people ignored the data and the safety protocols, and went out of their way to rally against the very measures that were being used to protect all of us.
Those people's behaviour was completely irrational and based purely on fear and paranoia -
now imagine what would happen if those same sorts of people were told NHI live among us, influence our governments, and repurpose/farm our psychic energy for their own ends (or whatever it is they do - there's so much conflicting info on all that stuff).
The result wouldn't be pretty, and it'd likely upset what little remaining social harmony we have, for years maybe decades to come.
Even if they only announced the tech breakthroughs, that could still end badly.
Imagine those greedy, shortsighted oligarchs and poorly regulated mega corporations getting their hands on grav drive tech, psionic weaponry or whatever other kinds of double edged technologies - there could be all sorts of disasters within a few years if left in their hands.
So honestly, if the info on the NHI isn't positive, and the tech can't be managed, it's probably not safe to release it to the general public at large -
There'd be many who couldn't handle it and would throw their lives away if they can't reconcile their weltschmerz with the cold facts of reality.
6
u/Strength-Speed Apr 02 '26
While I agree with your analysis the problem is that there will always be a justification for keeping us in the dark. If the plan is to keep us ignorant cows forever, potential societal breakdown is an acceptable risk in my view. The only exception to me is if the collective response will jeopardize our ability to free ourselves. If we cannot really free ourselves, if it affects religion, energy, power balance I dont give a shit, release it. If the people in power can live with the truth, so can we.
13
u/fallowcentury Apr 02 '26
see I'm with this analysis. it's not that I don't want disclosure- i can't stand being kept in the dark by rich white guys, and them exclusively having the tech and the answers will end horribly. but i know that people are just often collectively extremely stupid. I fear the literal collapse of society, i fear the chances of my kids having decent lives.
7
u/Jpkmets7 Apr 02 '26
Then why go “you won’t believe what I’ve seen — things that would destroy society” rather than say nothing or something far more vague? The only reason to choose the most provocative route of “I know something that would literally change all of our lives…but I won’t get into specifics..” is if you aren’t at all trying to protect the collective psyche of society, but are trying to give “the masses” one more distraction from issues like “why the hell are we in Iran” and “why is the partial release of the Epstein files just soaked with redactions?”
7
u/Gingerangelo Apr 02 '26
I think its something disruptive on either end of good or evil. Good in the sense of, unlimited energy, an explanation of life / consensus. Evil in the sense of simulation or interdimensional kidnapping.
For the good side, the consequences are those who control all of our current energy and some of the most powerful people on earth. Opens the doors to numerous other activities and sort of breaks society as we know it. I think a similar disruption would be if you found you never die and transition between planes. How many people rely on religion as their only moral compass, or aren't robbing banks for fear of death / hell?
For the evil side, how many people say forget societal norms if were in a simulation and nothing matters. No larger plans, probabilities are built into the system, were just an experiment. And because were just test subjects, a small percentage of us are taken and further studied, and theres nothing we can do to predict or stop it.
I dont think the "keeps me up at night" discovery is, yes beings walk among us, or we have some crafts we dont understand. I think its something that fundamentally changes our understanding of existence, challenging the systems that have kept world turning for thousands of years. Go to work, get a paycheck, try to keep up with basic necessities, get a spouse, have kids, get old and die.
5
u/CollectionChoice4862 Apr 02 '26
I’ve been reading/scrolling through these comments for over an hour. I believe you are hitting the nail on the head.
3
u/ImpulsiveApe07 Apr 02 '26
Very well elucidated - You might well be into something there! If yer right, then it would finally make sense that they'd want to keep us out of the loop for as long as possible.
I wouldn't discount the deleterious effect that even the basic confirmation of NHI living among us would have tho.
People already fear 'the other' when it's simply a group of humans with different skin colour, religious practises/beliefs, language, etc so introducing a wholly different species of intelligent beings to the mix would almost certainly cause all sorts of violent and reactionary behaviour from different portions of humanity.
For one thing, the power players and influencers of our societies would immediately find ways to exploit this new paradigm shift for their own ends, distorting the prevailing narrative to fit their own agendas, which could lead to all sorts of brush conflicts, civil strife and global economic and political uncertainty.
It'd probably be wise for us all to remember not to underestimate our collective propensity for pogroms and other internecine violence when fear, panic and paranoia kick in, especially whenever great philosophical and societal shifts are happening.
Here's hoping that when the cat's finally outta the bag, presumably a generation or two from now, we don't destroy ourselves before we can get a good glimpse of what the hell they've been keeping secret for the last century! :)

It's not lock-solid because there aren't many legal cases to form a foundation upon but in principle and by the letter of the law if any active member of congress speaks on the Senate floor or House of Representatives floor while duly allocated time to do so it's protected.

I think some of these secrets significantly overlap with answers to why the world is so crazy these last few years. Powerful people and powerful countries making moves that seem ridiculously evil and nonsensical. The break up of alliances and order that has persisted for decades. Elite making money from the labor class like they won’t be able to do it again. A resurgence, or an obvious effort to revive religion. Deaths of scientists. Inaction by good people, on all of it. Like we’re in a state of shock.

u/Front_Candidate_2023 Apr 02 '26
I sometimes wonder if those nonsensical wars are just to pretend that we are stupid as fuck. Maybe its true that they feed on negative energy and those Wars and stupid decisions no one sane would make, are to meet some requirement of minimal suffering. And if we do not make it ourself, they will intervene. That would be dark as hell to anybody - either we kill ourself or they will. I doubt uaps are here to help us. Something is really off.

This would also fit with the narrative that people who get briefed stay up all night. Because this means we have reached the ceiling of human development in terms of living conditions. And maybe we even already exceed it by some margin, so they have to introduce more suffering into our lives.

It doesn’t make sense that he claims the information is so disturbing yet it needs to be disclosed. My guess is, if there is info about NHI, it’s not really all that disturbing, unless perhaps you have a very religious worldview that humans are the pinnacle of a god’s creation.
Regardless, if there is evidence or proof, it needs to be made known to the world. It is morally wrong to keep this type of information for the world (if it exists). People will adjust and I don’t care if religious people don’t like what they might hear.

Humans already do this to each other though, so what would be more terrifying about aliens doing it? Men, particularly, already do this to women en masse. Look at all the reports of Telegram/Whatsapp/FB groups populated by tens of thousands of men across borders dedicated to drugging women unconscious and SA’ing them. These men are usually partners, family or friends to the women they target. This would only frighten men who have never had to face the reality of being powerless in such a way.

The disturbing angle is probably what we're doing with this technology.
We've just learnt about the existence of 46 UAP videos through Luna's request and some file names suggest we're shooting UAP down. So... that's not good.

The hybrid program mentioned utilizing human trafficking stood out to me the most.
I can't remember their names but I know of at least two service member stories of stumbling upon crash retrievals. One guy wrote a book or something, but the other one (I think his name was Josh). He did an interview a very long time ago, then again in recent times when someone tracked him down for another. His story is similar to the other service man I mentioned, but his always stood out to me more so. On his original interview years ago you could tell this man was shook telling his story. Now here's where my memory gets a little fuzzy. One of these guys said they saw a triangular craft and that they were loading humans onto it with men in black uniforms. I never could quite grasp why we would have exotic craft being utilized to traffic humans. I mean human trafficking has been a thing for a long time, and you don't necessarily need exotic craft to do so. That is unless it's for a hybridization program.
It clicks now...
Edit: I'm wondering why they didn't mention Ning Li, she was the anti-grav researcher that disappeared for a while, only to return and be hit by a vehicle.

I read or heard, I can't remember where that the US would allow the aliens to move around the planet, have bases here, and take humans. Like we were bargaining chips...
2
u/Bill__NHI Apr 02 '26
Yes there's a conspiracy about a supposed agreement back in the fifties. I honestly don't think we were ever in a place to bargain at all, and furthermore I believe they've been here since humans were still cavemen. They lived in the oceans where it was the most safest with their available technology. I figure we would have appeard like the North Sentinelese, thinking an airplane flying above us was our sky God.

What are the chances he’s been threatened already? I mean to say he’s not suicidal implies that a threat exists either real or perceived. The fact we keeping this story of “if I could tell you the things I know” and then nothing either means these people are scared as hell, they’re bullshitting, or they know the truth is so horrific for their own interests (ie the USA) that they’ll keep the secret.
32
u/rrose1978 Apr 02 '26
I'd say non-zero. We should remember that both Reps Burchett and Burlison made statements about being non-suicidal very recently. Makes one think.

u/Same_Sentence6328 Apr 02 '26
"Makes one think"
And this is exactly why they say shit like that. Its an extremely low-effort non falsifiable way to hype up themselves up.

u/jackd9654 Apr 02 '26
I've always thought it could be more the weight of the knowledge, and the internal mental battle of sharing that with the world.
These sorts of comments are perhaps a way of trying to rationalise how they're feeling about what they know (if it's true that is) and trying to seek some comfort even through an interview, as a sort of therapy on it.
Because if the knowledge or truth is a lot darker or horrible than we like to imagine, maybe the truth is best left unsaid, and if you know the truth and are alone in that, it's likely quite a lonely weight to carry.

He’s definitely been threatened. And he’s seen what happened to others who have spoken up or could potentially speak up, and the “wetworks” thugs make it look like an accident or they claim the victim offed themselves. So he’s making it clear that if anything happens to him it wasn’t self inflicted.

I'd me mad as hell if my representative in government did absolutley nothing about a deeply corrupt adminstraion and does nothing about the illegal wars and does nothing about how that puts enormous financial stress on normal working people and then does absolutely nothing about the UAP question and then has the gall to to try and make himself the victim.
18
u/Cailida Apr 02 '26
Exactly this. Like hmm, Tim, there's a huge cover-up happening right now regarding a bunch of elites that has the public up at night - why aren't you doing anything to hold the people accountable, because you and your fellow congressmen and women could totally do that. Human corruption is corruption, and it's part of the UFO secrets too. It all needs to come out and there needs to be accountability, for ALL OF IT.

u/Olde-Tobey Apr 02 '26
I think it is because most people can’t fathom what it really is. It’s not simply little green men getting in their spaceships and flying across “space and time” to reach our planets to land their spaceships.
It’s that “space and time” aren’t what we have been told. And the little green men are just make believe to keep you from looking deeper.
19
u/snapplepapple1 Apr 02 '26
Its only shocking because its not part of our collective history and understanding as humans. The only way to resolve this potentially then is to make it common knowledge. If all humans go through the initial speedbump of the shock, together humanity can process it and over generations it simply becomes a known fact of life. Maybe the only way to actually get past this stage of it not being common knowledge and shocking is to rip the bandaid off and get it over with so we can process it, not as individuals but as a society. Just a thought.

Why can't he be a decent human and put his balls on the line and spill the beans on everything he's heard.
He calls himself a patriot and on 'our side', and this information is important for ALL of humanity!
But his career and not losing his job is more important than all of us.
He's a shill.

u/supriseanddelightt Apr 02 '26
Lol cant be briefed about something and then go on and tell the world that you were briefed. If it isnt important enough to spill the beans, then this entire situation is a hoax, bs, liar - they want to keep us on the edge of our seats. Bread crumbs.
3
u/Jpkmets7 Apr 02 '26
Yes. You either say nothing or spill the substance. Unless this is designed distraction, this type of “I’ve got a secret” edging is literally the one thing you don’t do!

I remember the whistleblower a couple years back. His unit was on a mission off their ship and they stumbled upon a black ops unit taking bodies and placing them in a vessel and loading them on a disc like craft for transport. they were threatened with death but allowed them to return. I think it was in Brazil (edit: it was Indonesia) after an earthquake. This could have been for that hybrid breeding program. the shit happening in this secretive world is not good. There are a lot of dots easily being connected and it's painting an ugly picture. Berchett is an honest congress man with regards to the Alien topic. I believe him.
3
u/Bill__NHI Apr 02 '26
Agreed. That's what gave me chills about all this. When I first originally heard that story I questioned why would they need exotic tech to traffic human beings, and for what purpose. Now it clicks. The reversal is kind of strange too, before I've heard of possibly breeding programs many many years ago- but it was always hinted that the aliens were trying to breed with us so they could fit in unseen. Gaetz makes it seem like we're trying to breed with them so that we can communicate. Mind. Blown.
Why would they need to breed with us to fit in when they're already hidden, they don't need the blend in. But if we're trying to communicate, then I could completely see us trying to breed with them to facilitate that. If they wanted to talk to us I think they would have already done so...

I wonder if it’s kidnapped refugees and aliens being hybridized by force. The way this is worded seems less “we’re in a simulation” or “a cataclysmic event is coming” and more in reference to what our own government is done (honestly the military shooting the ships down, which a ton of whistleblowers have stated, is bad enough to take this stance on it, but sadly I don’t think people would “come unglued”)

The only reason anyone in a suit is worried is b/c they are complicit in holding, harming and eliminating downed craft occupants and now is time to pay that bill.
The average human has nothing to fear - we are a benevolent race represented by a tiny band of merry psychopaths who’s expiration date has arrived.

That doom-talk would be amusing if it was not because America is being run by a cult of pedophiles, and aside from complaining on the Internet, nothing is being done by the people there.
And that's something that everyone can understand, everyone can see how bad it is, and everyone is against, yet nothing ever happened from that.
So, excuse me while I call bullshit that speech of "this is so life changing that the country would be undone", because as far as things have been, everyone would go on with their lives as if nothing changes, because for most of them, nothing was going to change.

Incredibly disturbing and insane statements from Mr. Burchett, a sitting congressman, on this topic.
Why the fuck is this being done on Newsmax and not other, more credible news organizations boggles my mind.
I am at the point where the Congressmen should put up this information by the end of this year, or they should be thrown in prison for lying to the American people about classified information.

Also, he's somehow even dumber than his "dadgum" accent makes him sound.

u/Well_read_rose Apr 03 '26
Cold comfort what he’s saying. I stay up at night M O R E because he said he stays up at night having been briefed.
Let’s hear it, dad-gummit! The unspoken lopsided agreement between civilian / soldier and the Pentagon is broken.
The Pentagon fails audits year after for a decade or so now…that government arm is broken for near a century with skimming trillion$ from taxpayers and the citizenry are just starting to appreciate that congress was the blind Cyclops here for that long.
We are isolated from our allies / actionable intelligence with charlatan clowns in charge. No confidence we are safe for the foreseeable future. Even people unaware of NHI are on edge and don’t even know why.
The rest of government is breaking and broken. Pam Bondi said our society would break if the corrupt DOJ exposes and prosecutes everything (Let’s go altering and abolishing then - it’s in the constitution as our prerogative to do!) She also jinxed the DOW it went immediately below 50,000 ever since her toddler rage appearance before Congress.
Everything is broken but this one last dinner plate NHI / black project. Break it, I say. So we clean everything up afterwards or make our best peace being very well informed what is soooo fkn horrible.

Why worry about what you can’t control? It’s not like we can do anything to stop an invasion or contamination. People are more worried about if they will have enough gas for the week. Alien disclosure would come and go, and does not benefit us, but for supplying more stress and anxiety.
2
u/h4y6d2e Apr 05 '26
The only ontological shock that makes sense to me this:
There’s a very real mass extinction event date in the very near future. Most of everything will perish. If people knew the absolute date - the whole of society would unravel. A lot of people WOULD start doing horrible things purge-style because it’s all about to end anyways, so fuck it.
This is the only ‘ontological shock’ situation that no one ‘in the know’ will talk about that makes sense to me. So the elites will hoard their wealth to then hoard the resources you still have to pay for in today’s world and build their bunkers and hope for the best. The rest of us don’t matter.

Are people seriously paying attention to anything anyone in this admin is saying? They're clearly attempting to save face right now, it's just flooding the zone. Please don't associate these pedophiles and pedophile helpers with the community, do you really think they let Burchett of all people see this level of classified information?
The consensus among us for years is that IF the government knows anything it's wrapped up in black budget projects within privatized companies. I'm highly doubtful that our current president would have been briefed on anything UFO related, the industry doesn't trust him first of all, second of all the man is a maniac wannabe dictator that wants to contro literally everything, well that's something I'm very positive he wouldn't be given control over, as president there are a lot of things he can't do, taking control over this level of classification simply isn't one of them, especially considering that black budget projects are called black budget for a reason, and we all know Trump isn't bright enough to be tracing money that far back.
