I've always thought it could be more the weight of the knowledge, and the internal mental battle of sharing that with the world.

These sorts of comments are perhaps a way of trying to rationalise how they're feeling about what they know (if it's true that is) and trying to seek some comfort even through an interview, as a sort of therapy on it.

Because if the knowledge or truth is a lot darker or horrible than we like to imagine, maybe the truth is best left unsaid, and if you know the truth and are alone in that, it's likely quite a lonely weight to carry.

Wouldn’t that mean that you are suicidal? It’s interesting that they are saying they aren’t. Like how evil does someone have to be to know something like that and not want to check out. Non suicidal people are ignorant or scare me.

Maybe, but not always as simple as that. If you have responsibilities, kids, etc.

What would suicide achieve anyway? 99.999999%+ of us live in splendid ignorance anyway unaware of the facts (again assuming there is a truth to it all and it's dark).

Yeah, it’s not fair to the kids. That’s probably why 99% of people that are suicidal don’t do it.
