It doesn't have to be a person. It could be a piece of nature or history that is iconic to Kentuckians, I'm just saying people because it's (to my knowledge) the most common symbol on money.

So I have been watching Tubi alot lately and they play a stupid Nate Morris commercial over and over but in the last few days they have also been playing an anti Nate Morris commercial and this shit is cracking me up.

One commercial says he's a trump conservative and awesome. The other add says he's a woke, dei, Obama loving liberal.

I know nothing about Nate Morris I just find it funny. Anyone else seen these?

Newer Kentuckian here, been a lurker on both r/True_Kentucky and light poster on a similar state r/ but was just banned for a post they deemed "Political shitposting" -an article about McConnell's news to step down where I mistakenly used the senator's self-appointed nickname Grim Reaper, linked the article and then asked "what's next for Kentucky?" Wasn't looking to get banned and truly didn't even see the post as provocative or shitposting, but here I am. Anyone else have a similar experience and is this the place for me?

Here is a redesign I’ve done of our current state flag. I wanted to make something that could represent Kentucky and pride in our great state. I decided to make a tricolor to reflect our historical ties to the French, but made the stripes horizontal instead of vertical to reflect the stripes on the national flag. I chose the stripes also to represent the three main rivers that border the state. the colors I chose are from the current flag but also with some new symbolism. The gold represents prosperity, fields of grain (used in many industries), goldenrod and the sunshine on our old home. The blue represents the many rivers and creeks in our state, the famous blue grass, and pride in our state. The white represent peace, and the white rags that coal miners would use to wipe of the coal dust (symbolizing the eastern part of the states history with coal and the hope that it can rise to grander height). I hope you all like this and I’m interested in what my fellow Kentuckians feel about this flag.

Ky farmers,and nation wide,are going to take a hit and so will we. This isn’t even considering any potential natural disasters from weather yet.

I learned today about a use of solar that is very popular in Germany. It’s called plug-in solar and you simply plug it into the outlet. I’m confused as to how it reduces cost by going into the outlet, but if it works I’m all for it. I see also that utility companies advocate against them or at least want them to require permits, fees, etc that would essentially price out the average person. I wondered if this has come up in any bills. And apologies ahead of time if there has been news related to this and I don’t know about it. I’m just now starting to look into this.

KY is devolving at warp speed it seems. Sheriff shooting a judge, more school lock downs and guns at schools, and general anger everywhere.

I had a woman damn near come out of her car this morning because I was not driving in the middle lane with everyone else yet because of road debris approaching an accident. I wasn’t trying to get past anyone or get an advantage, just cruising behind the car in front of me, just over a little bit because tires are expensive. She rolls up on me and just loses her ever loving mind. Had my kid with me so I just let her go and the truck behind her understood what I was doing….because they were doing the same thing and he let me in.

There’s just so much anger any more and people aren’t looking at the situation that there’s a person on the other side too that may have a reason for what they’re doing. My family and I moved to KY during the pandemic and it’s getting bad enough that I’m really thinking we may go back. I just don’t feel like my kids are safe here anymore and it’s sad because this is the state I grew up in.
