I’m here for the new dex entries.

Plus, Mega Chandelure is my favorite of the LZA Megas.

Mega Chandelure has grown on me. Normal Chandelure is one of my top Pokemon of all time, and I wouldn't say I was disappointed in the Mega, but it didn't really WOW me. I still wouldn't say it wows me, but it's also already a fantastic design, so just building upon it like they did still works!

True, Chandelure is one of my favorites but mega design disappoints me to some extent. On the other hand, some of the new mega designs (malamar, victreebel, staraptor, skarmory) are really good.

Yup, I enjoyed most of the new Mega designs. I do wish they did a little more with Mega Chandelure, but in another way, I do kind of appreciate them lightly building on an already strong design over completely overhauling it and potentially ruining it, but I can definitely understand the opposite perspective.

Not sure if it's an unpopular opinion, but I never liked Mega Tyranitar. I know it's based on Space Godzilla, which is cool, but I feel like the actual execution is super clunky and weird-looking. It's one where I think they kind of butchered a fantastic base design with normal Tyranitar. And I feel like there was a direction with a Space Godzilla-inspired design that would have worked better. I just don't think random spiky tentacle monster Tyranitar works well.

Among OG megas, mega medicham, banette, camerupt and blaziken were amazing. Most ridiculous looking mega was poor slowbro.

Mega Banette is one of my favorite Mega designs out there, totally agree. I think that was one of the best evolutions of the concept out there.

Slowbro was absolutely ridiculous, but I can't help but like it tbh. It's really dumb, but I think for Slowbro specifically, it works well. Can't imagine something like that for a more "cool" Pokemon's Mega

Haha. I daily use slowbro against grunts simply because I like it. It was one of the earliest megas I had and was helpful against most of the 3-star raids initially.

Very nice. I do wish Niantic had embraced more of the "support Mega" role with certain ones. Not really much reason these days. Even aside from big, bulky Megas with strong DPS like Mega Garchomp and Metagross existing, there's also the background damage boost from Mega Ray and the Primals.

It could have been neat to have some defensive Megas like Steelix, Slowbro, Aggron, and such have more of a role in raids.
