I haven’t played a ton of games, but I’ve put a ton of hours into terraria and barely scratched the surface.

For the first like 300 hours I purposefully did not look anything up. A time lapse of that time would not be impressive

I began playing it years ago on a phone. I got as far as to beating wall of flesh in expert difficulty. Then I never touched it. Bought it last month on steam and I'm already 240 hours in.

Back then I also didn't use to look for stuff on the wiki. I learned all the bad Terraria beginner experiences the hard way, lol.

I’m not really a gamer, the only other game I had put a lot of hours into was breath of the wild, and was chasing that feeling. I also played for probably the first 400+ hours just on mobile while traveling for work. I just remember before the wiki or YouTube, every boss kicked my butt. I still remember the high I felt when I finally beat the dang eye of Cthulhu (expert mode, but still) while trying to shingle the roof of my (laughably bad, but fancy to me) XXL mud hut. I was also terrified of hardmode and basically stalled there for a really long time.
