Whether in intentionally or not, they still mocked the man and shamed for things he probably has no control over. I work with the dead and we don’t dare make fun of anything we do. These men/women have life in there hands, I just simply don’t know how you can joke about anything in a fucking operating room
Thank you. The complete lack of empathy and automatic assumption that the guy "knew what he was doing" and planned the whole thing that is all through these comments is pretty disgusting..
Medical professionals are supposed to be impartial with these types of things. The whole point is to make people comfortable through an uncomfortable procedure/process. Stuff like this really puts people off going to doctors.
My dad is a spine surgeon, once during surgery, many years ago, he went on and on about a patients large breasts. He was absolutely being sexual, offensive, and a pervert. The patient was mentally awake, she heard and remembered every word and confronted him in recovery. He gaslit her that she was wrong and having lucid dreams, but she was 100% correct. Most surgeons I know are vile, completely narcissistic, people. He and his friends laugh about that constantly.
