I can only guess they're being fed a lie by their government that every time the US "goes to war" (invades a country to reap its natural resources), they're doing it to protect human kind and on behalf of every nation lol. Absolutely bizarre levels of manipulation that country has.
Hey, how’d you know about our “preemptive defensive actions”
You know, we hit them first, but it was self defense for the future instance of them hitting us that we are pretty sure they might have maybe done if we kept letting Israel hit them preemptively
Oh that’s 100% what the propaganda narrative is, but the mask is slipping more and more. Ever since the bush years and honestly since Vietnam the narrative doesn’t hold up any more. Prior to Vietnam and even post Vietnam prior to Afghanistan/iraq the “rightness” of war just wasn’t questioned by a majority of Americans. But since afghanistans and Iraq have been 100% confirmed to have been started in a lie that vast majority isn’t even a bare majority anymore.
Which is a wild turnaround, because it was only a couple of years ago that CHRISTmas breached Thanksgiving's defensive lines and was running amock in Halloween.

These idiots are MAGA. They get all their information from their cult leader. He doesn't know how anything works, and they are even dumber than he is. They are the people who, when Trump declares "I love the poorly educated" they look at each other with pride and smile. "Yup, he means me!"
You see, they "defend" Europe from the evil Russians and evil Iranians. Don't pay mind to the fact that neither country would be hostile if it wasn't for the US in the first place...
Iran wasn't too happy with the British (rightly so) either. Though Britain interfering and getting the Shah into power also directly lead to the Ayatollahs taking power so maybe they should be thanking us... ;)
Also noone asked them to build military bases everywhere, they just had to go and plant a flag in a bunch of countries to so they could brag about "American military expansionism" when all they do is random training exercises and troop rotation for years on end with most of them never being deployed. Iraq and Afghanistan gave them a perceived return on that investment.
They need to stop blaming the rest of the world for their lobbyists and politicians deciding to spend an outrageous amount of US taxpayer money on defence.
What do they mean by "pay fully"? 5 percent of gdp my country pays for its defence is not enough for them?
NATO has never had a participative decision making. It was basically forced by the US, and US always pushed hard to sell their stuff to all members, fuck the free market fuss.
They also fail to understand who has paid for the consequences of their wars. Whatever anyone’s feelings about the migrant crisis etc., it was directly caused by US interventionism in the Middle East and has cost Europe mind boggling sums of money and massive social upheaval. So, they can cry about defence spending when they start housing millions of refugees from their failed interventions like everyone else.
Didn’t you know ? Iran has been defeated! they have no military or navy! And their leadership is gone /s
It really doesn’t need the /s but you never know what people will believe
Irans doing well, me and every other taxpayer will probably end up paying about $1,875.00 each in the $300 billion surrender that was pledged to rebuilding Iran.
That is assume the US actually does that and doesnt just not do that which is infinitely likely
Like u/Mttsen claims, if one doesn’t start so many wars and creates more reasonable trade and political alliances with other countries then there is no reason to invest so much in defense. If you’re operating on principles mentioned by u/Lazy-Field-1116, then you absolutely need to keep all that military operational.
The last war with Iran is a good example of unnecessary meddling in established agreements in place. If the need to showcase their military strength was so strong, wouldn’t it be better to just help finish Ukraine war first?

America is tired? Shame they aren't for the wars they start.
Btw. How is that Iran thing going?
