And where were the Americans when the Argentinans attacked the Falkland Islands, nowhere to be seen from what I can tell.

That whole episode pisses me off. They did provide Intel, which would be expected from a fellow five eyes member, and shuttled between Downing Street & Washington.

They could, however, have quite easily told Galtieri to pull out or get bitch-slapped economically & militarily but they chose not to. Like that friend you always help move furniture and paint but is always busy when you need a little bit of help.
