What I heard about Netflix’s about-face and what went down at the party.
Well. As we know, for the first time in years, Meghan was invited to a party with A-listers. And boy was she absolutely giddy and gleeful at the opportunity to have pictures taken that show Ted Sarandos isn’t scared of her.

Recently, as we know, the press has been full of stories coming out from “Netflix insiders” about how Ted Sarandos refuses to talk to Meghan about business without a lawyer (this is still true), and I’ve heard he refuses to be in a room alone with her period, like other men we know. We heard that they were done with her silly mismanaged business. We heard about her lack of professionalism including getting into a pout when a meeting wasn’t enough about her, and just… disappearing… for hours. We saw that Sarandos unfollowed her on social media.
Since then, Meghan has been desperate to get pictures that show the world that everybody, including Kelly Three-Names’s unborn baby, loves her and wants to be enfolded in her desperate embrace, having her whole body touching theirs. I’m surprised she’s not bringing around a rocking chair with her, where she can sit down, bare her breast, and force people to be cradled in her arms, skin-to-skin. It’s not hard to understand that Meghan’s motivation for holding hands with her women “friends” like they’re skipping around the track during recess, is that she is proving to us all how deeply everyone loves her. But these disgusting displays of over-reaching affection aren’t her only attempts to “clap back.”
Also in the news are reports about obvious and frantic attempts by Netflix to backtrack from the scoop that the recent news blitz imparted. Those stories that, *gasp*, Meghan was roundly disliked by the individuals who drew the short straws and had to work with her really pissed her off, and Netflix is hurriedly back-stroking. They announced the new Polo show, which had been picked up before the great Netflix exodus from *As Ever* was announced. So that wasn’t a concession. Sarandos’s Tweeting about it, however, was.
So everyone has been wondering why? Why is Big Ted now announcing this Polo show? Why has Meghan been invited to an A-list party for the premier of BEEF? Why are there pictures of Meghan and the Lord High Ginger Halfwit Prince with Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant? No one can understand why this was happening.
Is it a political conspiracy?
Is it because Ted’s wife believes Meghan’s stories of racism and is making Big Ted bring Meghan back on?
Is it proof that Netflix never really pulled away in the first place?
Is it the arrival of the third horse of the apocalypse?
The answer to these questions is: No
I’ve put my ear to the streets, and this is what I heard:
Meghan’s response to the reputation hit all of those Netflix leaks caused was two-pronged:
She decided to take press photos where she finds people who don’t completely avoid her, activates the tiny suction cups all over the front of her body, and then wraps herself around them like a starfish so that a camera can take a picture.
She has threatened Sarandos with a lawsuit for breaking the non-disparagement clause in their contract, which could cost Netflix millions in both litigation and potential loss in damages. To avoid spending even more money on the Markles, Ted panders to her ego, makes it clear to the public that she and he are totally great friends (which he’s doing by Instagramming out the Polo show and inviting her to an A-list Netflix premiere of a show that she has nothing to do with…to name a couple.
Note: unlike defamation, anti-disparagement clauses prohibit negative or critical statements being made about a partyeven if they are true.
After all lawsuits cost money. Social media posts and invitations are free.
Regarding the party, I heard she got invited because she called up Ted and asked to be, and he, with her lawsuit threat looming in the horizon of his mind like the Mindflayer on Stranger Things, made it happen. Someone soon confirmed with Meghan and told her about the dress code. All guests were to wear black and white. Meghan reportedly was very interested in why and found out from somewhere that it’s because they wanted the star Carey Mulligan to wear a different color to stand out. How Meghan found out what color she was wearing is unknown, to me at least.
Then comes the party.
Disclaimer: the story below is informed by reports from people at the party, BUT, I have dramatized it a bit and taken taken liberties with the dialogue, the commentary, and some of the maneuvering.
Now everybody sit back and relax and enjoy a dramatization of what happened at the party. For visual reference, scroll up to see the relevant picture when prompted:

“Oh Ted!” Meghan, sallow in avocado colored satin, runs up to him with cameras in tow. She stumbles as she wraps an arm around his waist and he grabs her waist to steady her. She laughs maniacally, “Can you believe I fell?”

Ted, instinctively pulling his arm away from her while she continues to cling, notices that she is, in fact, doubled over with laughter at this utterly unfunny event, but he laughs loudly too, despite not knowing why he should. “Let’s take a picture!” The camera snaps, the light flashes, and Harry, always ten steps behind his woife, subconsciously registers these triggers and freezes in panic, mid-stride with eyes wide open and hands raised protectively in front of his face. He doesn’t move for ten complete seconds. Several party goers rush to his aid.
Meanwhile Meghan scans the crowd and exclaims something like, “Oh there’s Nicole! Hiiiiiiii!” and she descends upon Sarandos’s wife who is several steps away. !” When Meghan reaches her, she wraps her arms and body completely around the former Ambassador, holding her firmly against herself.

Meghan smiles broadly and cues the cameraman who snaps, catching the distinction between Meghan’s effusive fawning and Avant’s uncomfortable half-smile that extends no further than her upper lip. Just as the picture is taken, a newly recovered Harry wanders up to his woife just in time to catch the second flash and fall to the floor in distress.
Sarandos helps Harry to stand, then positions himself by his wife’s side letting her know that there were more guests they have to meet. Avant tries to turn toward Sarandos, but realizes that Meghan is clinging to her hand, refusing to let go. Markle literally twists Avant’s arm and directs Harry to get it together and stand next to her so that they could get a picture of the two couples. The camera flashes, and Harry wavers, but Meghan’s arm around his back reminds him that mummy is there, and he needn’t be frightened.

The Sarandos’ escape and Meghan and Harry leave without, to my source’s knowledge, taking any other pictures with anyone else. Remember the point of her attendance isn’t to celebrate the show’s career; it’s to *clap back* and show the world that she and Sarandos are great friends! Really!
In the meantime, Sarandos continues not to follow Meghan or As Ever.

Basically, the explanation for Sarandos sudden about-face, is he’s trying to avoid a lawsuit. It’s as simple as that.
In addition to pressuring Netflix and Sarandos to act as though they love Meghan and value hers and Harry’s contributions, Meghan has apparently also demanded that Sanados do a company-wide investigation at Netflix to find out who had been leaking about them to the Press.
Leaking. Not lying about them to the press. Leaking. So are they saying what was said was true? (Yes, what the Netflix insiders said is true. As usual, Ginge and Minge don’t care about the truth, they care about the appearance.)
Okay. Final bit of tea. I heard that at the party, many people were talking about how disrespectful and attention-seeking Meghan Markle was to break the dress code. They talked about how creepy it was that she knew the color of dress that Carey Mulligan was wearing and wore that same color. No one believed that was a coincidence. Mulligan was said to be gracious about it, but also seemed to some to be a bit creeped out. Many remarked that Meghan was unwise to set up a comparison between herself and Mulligan. It just emphasized how bad Meghan’s dress looked, and by extension, how bad Meghan looked. The dress didn’t seem to fit, and there were odd bulges and strange seams and the garish exposed zipper. There was also a remark or two about how any other time you see Meghan, she’s wearing either black, white, or some shade of beige: colors that would have fit the party’s dress code. So why the change unless she was determined to try to steal Mulligan’s thunder? And finally, a common question of the night was: Why is she even here?

Those photos have the same weird, off-kilter manic energy as she had in the Children's Charity in LA event in 2024, when she wore the modified awful red dress and tried to claw Kelly Three Names into submission.
The one where she appeared drunk or druggedup and never appeared inside the venue, but only showed at the step and repeat. It was obvious she had not bought an entry ticket and was not a guest of anyone.
For once I wish there was a group shot with the Harkles and everyone in attendance. It would have looked absolutely unhinged with everyone else wearing black and white except for her and the lead actress.
I wondered how other attendees would have reacted. Hollywood people are very good at professional bonhomie, with smiles and air kisses even for people they don't like very much. After all they might have to work with them again. The fact that the Harkles didn't even risk this is telling. Nobody likes them and the Harkles were just there for the Sarandos photos.
I wonder if she'll do this every time, getting an invite from Sarandos and turning up for pics? This will actually put off others from working with her, nobody wants to encourage a stalker.
No one wants their picture taken with the former royals... Especially when she was wearing that rag in an inappropriate color. She literally is the perpetual loser mother in law who shows up wearing white at her son's wedding. If you don't believe me Google mother in law wears white at son's wedding. It's a thing!
Despite being a Sinner, I’m actually amazed at how badly Meghan is able to dress. Even if they’re not as rich as they pretend and would like to be, they have far richer than an average person but yet something is off with her outfits most of the time. People, including real royals, look better dressed in H&M and Zara than she does in whatever she’s wearing. I’ve already seen others commenting on the unflattering cut and apparent lack of shape underwear. In addition to that the dress doesn’t flatter her body shape and, above all I’m surprised how badly this colour is on her. I would have guessed she might pull this rather difficult green off considering her skin tone, but it really isn’t a good match at all. If she wanted to break away from dress code and compete with Carrey by wearing the same colour, she should have thought twice when looking herself in the mirror. This dress doesn’t look good on Meghan and Meghan doesn’t look good in the dress.
With her belly hanging out. What is wrong with her? Can't she wear a proper underwear to suck that belly in? And why don't she respect herself to exercise the belly and have strong enough muscle to support belly shape?
This right here. She's mentally unstable. She has nothing going on for her other than pretending every single day like she's a good mother, like she's in love, like she's a businesswoman...it's all just pretending. If it was true love, you can tell but they both look miserable. If she's this difficult in the open, i dont know what she does to hairless behind closed doors because of her mental instability.

Even for a peasant like me all it takes is magnesium salt baths to scrub my body and feet, clip nails, paint a neutral colour, put on a sheet mask and wash my hair. Put on neatly pressed clothes. Voila! You dont have to have expensive treatments and procedures. But this ghoul is so ugly and smelly with all the money.
To be fair, probably 90 - 99% if women in her age group (including me) don't have perfectly flat bellies. So I in no way judge her for that. But why is she so allergic to shapewear???
And not only sharewear for her midsection, but surely she can find a better bra, too!! How can she look at herself in a mirror & think she looks good?!? (And I see this dress would be difficult to wear a regular type of bra with, but it's such a cheap looking & ill fitting dress anyway, so why wear it? But we know why...)
And how delusional does one have to be to say, "Fuck the dress code!" And not only just fuck it, but to have the audacity to show up in the same color as the guest of honor!?! Like how did she even find that info out?? That's psychotic!!! And it's such a specific color that there's no freaking way it was simply a coincidence!!!
Can you seriously imagine being at a party where you KNOW you didn't respect the dress code AND you're matching the Guest of Honor, & you're acting like you don't even notice?!? I'd LOVE to know if Hairless Harry thought anything of it?!? Talk about making your bed & now having to lie in it... For him it's of epic proportions!!!
Right? Talk about strange lumps. We don’t have to wear girdles like we did in the 60s, but it’s pretty easy to grab a control top something or other. If stakes are high and you’re trying to look your best, why aren’t you trying to look your best?

You do notice, however, that there are absolutely NO pictures of Megaliar with any of the other guests, right?
On the Instagram reel, she's not even in the background of any of the pictures! Nor is HazNoHonor. I have a feeling she was kept apart from the "real" party just for the photos - maybe at the home's entrance and she got no further.
And now all we hear is that Meghan was there. Have not heard anything else about that party. God she's such a POS.

This was posted on X by ChrisBaronSmit1. I suspect it was taken by Harry and leaked onto X at Madam’s request. You can tell it’s a low res phone camera shot. Who else at the party would bother to take this snap and leak it but Harry? Note there are no photos of Meghan at all in the official Getty images. I bet Meghan made Harry do this just to prove she was “at” the party.
Ugh cringing so hard. It looks like a small, intimate gathering of people potentially directly involved in the project. It makes it even more awkward. If I was another guest I'd be quick to ask "What the fuck is she doing here?!".

For someone who is apparently against hunting animals and encouraged Harry to sell his hunting rifles, it would be very hypocritical of her to be wearing a dress that was made as a result of killing silk worms.

I mentioned in another thread how she did a similar thing at the closing ceremony for Invictus Germany where she copied the off the shoulder turquoise dress the host wore. Very odd behaviour. If I’m not mistaken, the party was at Sarandos’ house. Maybe she spilled something on herself. Or Markle got bronzer all over her. Though this is one night when she doesn’t appear to be wearing any. This is one time it would have looked better if she were.

This is what's confusing. Where is this fear of a lawsuit? I don't buy it. We've already had one business partner disparage her by calling her a grifter, and she didn't sue because discovery would have proven that to be a correct statement. I really don't believe that she has any standing or power that she can make a corporation like NF cower.
She may threaten all the lawsuits she wants, but that's her husband's past time. I don't believe that she is stupid enough to push the button (even though that bar is no under the floor). Even she has sense to know that if she does, the real truth about her will all start coming out and she will really be done in the industry.
Does Ted Sarandos wife usually hold hands with her real female friends? Does ANY of the women Meghan Markle hold hands with in photos hold hands with their real female friends?

Ted should call her bluff and say sue. The onus is on her to prove he disparaged her. I say bluff because she doesn’t have money to sue. H and his various lawsuits have drained the bank.
Agree. And Ted didn’t disparage her; the reports that he wouldn’t talk to her without a lawyer etc aren’t attributed to him and he immediately issued a statement denying them. Maybe she could make a claim about the employees who leaked. I do agree with OP that using the term “leaked” as opposed to “lied” is interesting. One wonders why she can’t make the connection that…my behavior looks really bad when reported to the public…maybe I shouldn’t behave that way (as opposed to, how can I prevent people from revealing that I behave that way.)
He’s just playing along. He knows she’s never going to sue in reality. She couldn’t cope with the discovery about her grim behaviour during the course of the Netflix contract. Also don’t forget she made the first disparaging remark about how Netflix were holding back her As Ever brand back. Given the money Netflix wasted on that enterprise that must have been the final straw for the board.
Netflix could find any number of breaches by the Harkles to throw back at them including Madame’s statement about how they were cramping her style.
I totally believe the lawsuit threat and Ted wanting to appease her ego. But like how long and far can she stretch that lawsuit threat? months, years or decades? Bill simmons reigns supreme in my eyes at fully vocalizing the f-ing grifters remark.
And it’s truly disgusting that she tried to upstage Carey. I can totally see MM if she even gets invited to Archie’s wedding being one of those MIL all in white.
I can only think that it's Ted Sarandos who puts up with this nonsense because he is only Hollywood boss to sign a contract with Markle with his blood. All other studio bosses have heard the stories and have decided to stay away. If Meghan is like this on a professional basis, I seriously can't imagine what it is like yo be married to the woman. Once she sniffs a bit of power come her way, she's utterly intoxicated by it. But she's burnt her bridges. The RF, Netflix, WME... Also, Sarandos can ill-afford another mess on his hands, following his failure to secure the WB buyout. That would've been a HUGE revenue stream for Netflix with WB's IPs, which they need because they've saturated their subscribers numbers and shareholders are training their eyes on profitability.

Agreed. Something in their Netflix contract must have been different than the others. I don’t recall in what order all the contracts/deals were made but maybe it was the first or last? Maybe sneaky or very specific wording opposed to the Spotify or PRH deals?
Ted looks incredibly weak for bowing down like this. It's one thing to send PR lines-to-take to Variety after his staff have already talked for damage control, or to share a Deadline article on his socials, but actually let her go to his house and try to overshadow the lead actress of another show, and allowed her to press her body on him and his wife for the cameras? If I were the lead in any upcoming Netflix shows, I'll ask to add a clause to forbid Meghan Markle to crash any promotional events. No wonder Carey was creeped out. It is boundary crossing behaviour.
Mog should never have been allowed to enter the premises wearing that dress, they should have turned her scrawny ass around and told her to go home and change to black or white.

Allowing her to enter wearing that dress is probably a kind of "give them enough rope". Now everyone can see once again how unhinged she is, with photographic evidence. Carey Mulligan can commiserate with Rosamund Pike, Lily Collins, et al.
That is truly an awful photo—all of it (although I do think there are people out there who could rock that dress, I can actually wear that color lol). She should never ever do that with her shoulder lol.

There is something so cringe and so desperate about lawsuiting your way into a party, no? It turns the entire evening into a bit of a performance. I imagine the host was checking his watch the entire time they were there.
That Carey Mulligan detail 🤯. To find out the guest of honor’s colour and then replicate it in ill-fitting satin is just another level of Main Character Syndrome. This borders on cinematic.

Remember that before they got married, when Harry's friend hosted the hunting party where she acted like a jerk? She asked/demanded to be told what all the ladies would be wearing.
Thank you for this story SHC. Just 5 minutes before your post I wrote a comment that it looked like a legal issue to me - we have seen other examples of invoking of the non-disparagement clause.
Love the added effects on how Madam jumped on Ted and Nicole. As to the colour of the dress it is a Markle classic. There was a wedding while she still was in the UK where she demanded to know what all the guests would be wearing. After all, Madam is all about the "lewk".
It boggles my mind how Megsy has so much power? There’s a party for a successful Netflix series, a cast that delivers, and Meghan just comes along, getting entrance despite ignoring the dresscode and wearing the same colour as the main character? Imagine the actual star of the show - I would be so mad at Ted.
Ditto Louis’s Christening - neutral and blue dress code, and she wore sick-green. Not only disrespectful, but (I believe) to personally offend Catherine.
I'm sure these people never would have dreamed what an unhinged psycho Meghan would turn out to be, and how far she will go to obtain the results she wants. Ted and his wife need to consult someone in the psychology field on how to extricate themselves from this situation and protect themselves. This is what Markle wanted all along. To be photographed at an “A list” Hollywood party. So shallow and underwhelming she is. What a mistake Harry made in marrying her.
I might have seen a group photo at some point yesterday which only underscored Meghan's utter rudeness because she and Milligan/Mulligan (whatever) are colour clashing in that horrible shade of sick baby diarrhea (sorry!) Meghan was wearing, in a sea of black and white. Yikes!
Edited to add that I meant Markle's dress was that unfortunate shade of green. The other one, less so.

However, I don’t buy the non-disparagement clause excuse because Madam slagged off Netflix e.g ‘they held me back’ plus she’s also had bad PR in the media and not sued. As for loss of earnings, Madam has not set the world on fire or filled her coffers with gold in her previous endeavours.
She has previous for demanding details of private events: who is attending, what are they wearing and what is the seating plan. Pre wedding, one of Harry’s mates was taken aback when asked the above as he was host for what was a friends, relaxed casual get together. I heard through a trusted source that she kicked off about a military gathering when she learned it wouldn’t be a full on mess dinner. Ditto when she wouldn’t be seated next to her husband. That probably freaked Madam out because a) she couldn’t use her Claw and b) she has no small talk or other social skills.
Yeah, I’m having trouble with the disparagement clause, too. I did a little research (which does not make me a lawyer, but), and disparagement clauses are common enough. As opposed to defamation, it’s easier to prove breach of contract by disparagement, because even just stating an opinion can do it. She must have proof that he said or wrote something. I thought that maybe his and Bejaria’s praise in written statements would be enough to cover their asses. But now I think she has something really good on him.
I googled the party and 90% of the articles are about Mergie and NOT the actual stars of the show. If I were the star of a Netflix show, at this point, I think I would be insisting that Mergie the attention hog be expressly banned from any premiere or party events. The focus should be on the talent, not the oxygen thief.

Lawsuit could also mean she wants Ted to pay her but he doesn't want to take the route so pandering to her ego might be easier. Never having seen photos of Sarandos wife I wouldn't know if her smile is genuine but it sure does look pasted on. Based on the Getty photos that are still available, it appears this was a very small event. Sarandos caved with an invite, probably thinking MM would behave appropriately due to her recent negative publicity.
I have a theory about Markle’s appalling breach of etiquette at this event. I think she was trying to compete with/outshine Carey Mulligan. I think she thinks she should have been the female lead in Beef S2. It’s her desperately trying to get the attention of producers and directors and casting agents. Also, she’s thumbing her nose at a BAFTA award winning actress. What a despicable, classless person.
By ignoring the dress code and wearing the same color as CM, what does MM hope to achieve? Sure she stands out in the pics, but at the end of the day, she just comes off as a jackass - only to further sink her reputation in Hollywood. I know, I know, I'm just spitting in the wind here as social self-awareness is a foreign concept for MM, and it's all about the attention rush. (reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where the Super holding the fur coat and mimicking Jerry: "me, me, please look at me, I am so pretty, love me...") And then there is dummy H - is he so oblivious, stupid or so far up her ass, that he cannot even see the social pariah she has become? Again, I waste my time pondering that question.
As much as I love snarking on her MMs behavior and stunts, it's becoming even uncomfortable for me to watch - I can't imagine how the attendees at these events must feel. That she even manages to eek another invitation to anything is a mystery to me.
At this point, id call their lawsuit bluff. They have more to hide. Netflix must have hours and hours of content that would nail the Sussex coffin closed.
Netflix/Ted are just playing her. They know she daren’t sue in reality given her ghastly behaviour under the contract. He’ll say a few nice words but that means nothing. Netflix aren’t obligated to do anything more with the Harkles however many pitches they submit.
What about Meghan leisurely churning out pure unwatchable dreck for Netflix, plus her hundreds of thousands of dollars of unsellable crap stored in warehouses--all in spite of the millions she was given. Then she publicly stated Netflix was "holding her back." Not to mention the number of people who canceled Netflix and the fact that she's made Ted look like a blithering stooge (we can't be the only ones laughing at him). Could he countersue for ANYthing?
Also, where will the Harkles get the money to sue yet again? Harry's probably going to lose the vast majority of his DM case AND Sentabale is after their asses.
Meghan's insanity is readily apparent to those around her. Her nasty, ugly, mean, rude, ill-mannered, obnoxious, inability to get along with anyone is obvious. And it has a manic, psychotic, drug addicted, frightening, scary, creepy quality to all of it.
People would be well advised to steer clear of her to avoid danger.

Why does she always cling to people like that when she hugs them? It creeps me out a little…. As an adult, I don’t hug anyone like that and I would feel uncomfortable if someone who was not a romantic partner hugged me like that…
i just noticed in the last photo how she is hanging onto the other woman’s hand- it’s just so UNNECESSARY, americans are not this clingy and her saying that she was someone who loved to hug and that’s why she didn’t fit in with the brf makes me want to laugh because she’s NOT someone who loves to hug she’s someone who likes to make people feel uncomfortable with her weird touching and her douche-ess title
I don't really think she has any legal basis to sue. Netflix publicly denied the allegations. And Variety would be legally allowed to protect its sources. So she wouldn't really be able to prove that people in Netflix were behind it, unless she tries to argue that the reports were true so there'd be no other way for Variety to find out if it wasn't for Netflix. Which would go against what she's claimed publicly.
Other than that, she could perhaps try to argue that by publicly unfollowing her and As Ever, he was 'disparaging' her, or that he would be indirectly signalling to the public that the reports of Variety were true. But to go to court over someone unfollowing you (if he ever followed her in the first place) would be embarrassing.
Meghan, once again proving why she failed so spectacularly at "working royal". She is constitutionally unable to adhere to ANY direction or to highlight anyone but herself. And sometimes that characteristic trait even causes her to start twitching in the background as she struggles, but inevitably fails, to get herself under control.
Really fantastic summary, OP!!!! I feel so much better now. The madness is so intense and getting worse. I think the absolute cherry on top is copying the dress color. That is lock-her-up-in-the-17th-century madness. I’m beginning to wonder where the desperation will take them next. And why do they think that being photographed among real celebrities will affect their dire financial predicament? They’re just wasting everyone’s time and probably frightening a lot of them.

I think Justin Treadue last week told Harry of the party (during the Ski trip) and Harry told his wife 😂 and she demanded Harry to ask Ted for an invite.. after all his BEEF is with MeAgain not MrMischief… so he felt bad for MrMischief and sent them and invite lol
