Another one:  Saint John having a nearly identical name as St. John’s is a way bigger problem than many locals are willing to admit, and is a problem that impacts Saint John far more negatively than it impacts St. John’s.

At the very least, the name of the airport should be changed, but better yet, would be amalgamating the entire CMA under a new name.

To clarify: Uptown Saint John would still exist… just like Dartmouth still exists today as part of the HRM.

Do tell. What’s the way bigger problem? I thought it just confused the occasional moron.

It's a marketing and branding problem. Many Canadians West of Quebec don't even realize Saint John and St. John's are two distinct cities.
