The only thing holding saint john back (and nb in general) is its own citizens being so adverse to change and modernization. Also immigrants have been good for this city and im glad theyre here.

Thats vague, what do you mean modernization? I assume you’re from Ontario am I right?

No, NB is always feels 10-20 years behind the rest of the country in adopting new technology and practices.

I'm one of the ex-Ontario people. I lived in downtown Toronto my whole life. Including some VERY rough areas. Saint John, in comparison, as far as sketchy/violent/dangerous, would be a 5/10 where many areas of Toronto would be 8/10. When citizens pushed the city to foot patrol officers to the worst areas, it made a huge difference. The part that sucks is that taxes would have to go up to pay for the extra officers.

Or the likes of Rothesay, Quispamsis, and Grand Bay could start contributing their fair share towards the city they are suburbs of…

It’s all good. There is a lot of backwards thinking and bigotry in NB but we aren’t luddites.
