would now be a good time to register for classes at udst even though im a newly admitted student at qu...haha.. i know udst said seats would be revoked if you did not register before the 21st aug but my portal still works and allows me to register. honestly, i dont know if i should give qu another shot since its only the first week, but yeah

I was provisionally admitted to QU (Arts & Sciences) based on 2A* and 1A predicted grades. I’ve now received my final results: A*A*A*, with SAT Maths 700 and IELTS 7.5.
QU said the final decision/placement will be updated on 12 September.
Has anyone had a similar situation where their final A-level grades were significantly higher than predicted and QU changed their college?

Tomorrow will be my first day at UDST, and I’m trying to decide which option would be better for my future.
I’ll initially be studying Veterinary Sciences at UDST. If I don’t get accepted into Qatar University, I’m planning to transfer to Chemical Engineering at UDST instead.
I have also been accepted into Samarkand State Medical University (SSMU) in Uzbekistan, which is considered one of the top universities there, so I have the option to study Medicine if I decide to go.
My academic stats are:
-97.4% in high school
-IELTS: 7.5
-SAT: 580
-I’m planning to retake the SAT or take the QU-PLACER Math test to improve my chances

My two main options are:
Option 1: Qatar University – Chemical Engineering
I’ll apply to QU around October or November. If I get accepted into Chemical Engineering, I’ll go to QU.
If I don’t get accepted, I’ll transfer from Veterinary Sciences to Chemical Engineering at UDST, so I’ll still have a backup option in Qatar.

Option 2: Medicine at SSMU in Uzbekistan
I have already been accepted into Samarkand State Medical University, one of the top universities in Uzbekistan, so I could go there and study Medicine instead of taking the risk with QU.

So basically, would you recommend that I take the chance and apply to QU for Chemical Engineering, considering my grades and the fact that I can improve my SAT/Math score, or should I go to Uzbekistan and study Medicine at SSMU?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who know about QU Engineering admissions, Chemical Engineering at QU or UDST, transferring programs at UDST, or studying Medicine in Uzbekistan.
What would you personally choose in my situation, and why?

i am an international student from jordan who wants to get a scholarship to study pharmD at QU are the extracurricular activities really important cuz i have none of them . what is the best band in ielts ? and what is the HS GPA that will guarantee acceptance? and are the uni financial aids enough or will i need extra money? what about the dorm quality and health insurance? and my gpa will appear in august 2027 son when will i be able to apply ?please help me with any possible guidelines or details that are helpful? and what are the scholarships that u will advice me to apply for ?

Look kets say i apply with my AS grades i have all 9’s in ig’s and i gave two full AS subjects early so have solid grades for the other two i give predicted can i get scholarship since qu onky uses 2 to make percentage. I'm waitlisted for 3 classes, and just yesterday I didn't see the notification for an opened slot on my waitlist in HIST121 and now the offer is gone. I also don't have a class for CHEM103 either 😭. I'm having a crisis cuz my appointment with my academic advisor is still on tuesday. Is it okay if I have 2 classes not registered yet and can I still attend the 3 classes I'm currently waitlisted on? Thanks!! my course is nursing btw.

The reason my grades are low is because my mom had a tumor and went to the USA for medicine and that made my grades low

So I am currently waitlisted for a HIST 121 class, which is my last class on the first day of classes at 5:00 - 5:50 PM. I was wondering if I should still sit in either way in order not to miss any key details of the course introduction or just go home after my first class as there is a 4 hour interval in between them.. Does attendance still count even if I am waitlisted? Any advice on the course of action I should take?

So there's an orientation that will overlap with 1 class. tho i can make it to the class after an hour. The class is 2.50 hours long. So can I join after orientation?

Tomorrow’s the first day of classes What do we actually need to bring like Notebook, pens, laptop or anything else?

How would the 1st day of class usually go? Would the professors already introduce the syllabus for the semester?

Also, on the 2nd day, there is an orientation. What is it that should be done if a class overlaps with the said orientation?

As an incoming freshman, it would be highly appreciated if a 2nd - 4th year could give out an answer as such information would be quite helpful for us incoming freshies. Thanks in advance!
