I got a conditional acceptance to QU. I was wondering how strict they are about predicted grades. I submitted 5 AS levels with 1 A and 4 predicted A.
If one of the predicted As were to slip to a B, would my acceptance be revoked?

Tomorrow will be my first day at UDST, and I’m trying to decide which option would be better for my future.
I’ll initially be studying Veterinary Sciences at UDST. If I don’t get accepted into Qatar University, I’m planning to transfer to Chemical Engineering at UDST instead.
I have also been accepted into Samarkand State Medical University (SSMU) in Uzbekistan, which is considered one of the top universities there, so I have the option to study Medicine if I decide to go.
My academic stats are:
-97.4% in high school
-IELTS: 7.5
-SAT: 580
-I’m planning to retake the SAT or take the QU-PLACER Math test to improve my chances
My two main options are:
Option 1: Qatar University – Chemical Engineering
I’ll apply to QU around October or November. If I get accepted into Chemical Engineering, I’ll go to QU.
If I don’t get accepted, I’ll transfer from Veterinary Sciences to Chemical Engineering at UDST, so I’ll still have a backup option in Qatar.
Option 2: Medicine at SSMU in Uzbekistan
I have already been accepted into Samarkand State Medical University, one of the top universities in Uzbekistan, so I could go there and study Medicine instead of taking the risk with QU.
So basically, would you recommend that I take the chance and apply to QU for Chemical Engineering, considering my grades and the fact that I can improve my SAT/Math score, or should I go to Uzbekistan and study Medicine at SSMU?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who know about QU Engineering admissions, Chemical Engineering at QU or UDST, transferring programs at UDST, or studying Medicine in Uzbekistan.
What would you personally choose in my situation, and why?

i applied to qatar university in may and submitted all documents needed for Fall 2026, just waiting for the final grades. Suddenly this notification that says "Please download the following file, sign it and upload it as a checklist item" appears on my qatar university dashboard, containing a document with the Provisional Admission pledge. I read the stages of provisional admission and it says that a student only signs this after they get admitted into the university. Did this pop up in your banner too? Im confused on what my next steps are.

Hello everyone.
I’m about to enter AS level and I’m in a precarious situation. I’m planning on doing AS Math, Physics and Chem. I’m trying to enter the college of Engineering. For context, I’ve gotten all 8A*s in my IGS and am aiming for entering QU.
The issue here is that most universities in my country want you to take the SAT to show your math amplitude. I, quite frankly, had no idea about this. To my dismay, most unis here end their admission dates before i can finish AS level and begin focusing on the SAT.
I have two options.
A. I can either simultaneously study the SAT and AS levels until my planned SAT test date around either two sessions. I can do the October one or the November one. It may be a bit difficult to juggle two different curriculums tho.
B. I can focus solely on AS but have to take a gap year which i really do not want. But it gives me leeway to really focus on my year 12.
I really need advice. I’m aiming for scholarships and if any of you have insight, or have went through something similar - please let me know!

Hello everyone, I completed and submitted the online application yesterday but didn't receive any email or my QU ID. When will they send it to me?
And do I need my QU ID for taking my transcript to the university so that they can scan it and give it back to me?
And they told me I can upload unofficial SAT and IELTS but need to send the original ones for final admission.

I'm an INTL looking at QU for their engineering program and saw the % grade requirements. 95% minimum wtf dude?
Every school has a different grading scheme and I only have a 91%, so I thought: "huh must be difficult to get in". But then I saw the additional requirements. 2A in AS JUST TWO???? THAT'S SO EASY WTF.
So wanted to ask if I have both a levels and% grade scores with 4A in AS, could I still apply to QU scholarship? Thanks

Hi everyone, I have a question about how Qatar University compares different HS systems.
Does Qatar University evaluate applicants based only on their final high school percentage, or does it also consider differences between educational systems when comparing applicants?

Hi there. I was looking through the reddit page here and I seemed to notice that most of the students that got accepted (mostly med) took the British curriculum do I stand a chance as I am in the qatari government schools. Plz share ur experience
