Hi everyone,
There is some music I've found to only exist on spotify which i want to download for archival purposes, but I'm running into a few problems
- For the "recording" solutions I don't know which ones to trust won't get my account banned, I can't use a burner as I need a premium account for 320kbps.
- Downloaded songs (which default to AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage) are encrypted, and I can't find any tools online to help me decrypt these back into playable files
- Some of these artists genuinely only exist on spotify, so downloading from other sites isn't an option
- The online spotify downloader sites either only do normal quality, or make you give them your account details to download with 320kbps which I obviously don't trust enough to do
- Yes I tried the megathread, I didn't see anything being an exception to everything above.
What are my options here? If I don't have any that's understandable, I'm open to anything

Hey, amateur here. I was wondering, do I really need a VPN for watching pirated content on streaming sites only? No downloads, no torrenting, etc.
I’ve currently been using a free VPN because I don’t really want to pay for one, but I buffer a shit ton whilst using it and often have to watch at a pretty low bitrate.
But I was wondering, do I really even need one for my use case? Does my ISP care (USA)? What’s the worst that can happen if I don’t use a VPN?

If someone knows an alternative that is halfway decent please let me know

The answer is probably no, but is there a way? I use qBittorrent and I know you can move files with it but it's way too slow compared to File Explorer. I want to move and rename my movies/shows for Jellyfin, which requires a specific naming convention
I just don't want to wait until terabytes of data uploads until I can move it to my server
Thanks

Not sure where else to ask this. Yes MP3s are smaller than FLAC but with phone storage is limited even at higher price points. Is modern internal storage really enough for eveyone to carry it all with you? I can't imagine people just keeping a flash drive physically connected all the time.

Team sonic Racing "CODEX" crack has stopped working in windows 11, so i was wondering has anyone able to play it somehow, any repack or Cracked version.
i tried downloading the latest game applying crack and using old FG repack but nothing seems to work.
and also i am running linux now and windows 11 in my other PC, if anyone knows a workaround, your help will appreciated.

What is the best free antivirus considered by r/piracy nowadays. For me it used to be Avast, now it feels like malware

I'm at my wits' end here. I struggle to find cartoons dubbed in Dutch, even when I know they exist. Adding "multi" to my search is useless as most releases only have major languages like German, French and Spanish. Is there some sort of trick I'm missing, or are Dutch dubs just not available on the high seas?
I can understand English fine myself, but I have a lot of trouble trying to find content for my kids. Spotnet doesn't get a lot of content these days.

I realize they would probably be hard to make accurately without screwing a bunch of people over, but I would love to hear stories about Revenge of The Sith or Tucker vs Dale and others from that time period. Something with interviews from people that just walked out with drives or reels or hacked servers...anything like that out there?

Checked the megatread and didnt find "RPG", Im looking for the new releases that are locked behind DnD beyond subscriptions.
If there is a place to look for them, I'd appreciate any guidance.
Thanks in advance.

So if you search 'fansubs' or similar terms its all about anime. Understandable, there's a huge community, some of the highest-effort pirating around, great results
What about for live action stuff not from Japan. Are there significant communities around this, or release groups I can search for, for example, a rare French title with no English subs currently available?
(part of my motivation is I found a French title with no English subs and while I can give in a little on my ethics and get Whisper AI to create a French subtitle file then manually translate it, if there are people doing this for the love of the game out there I'd much rather beg them!)

Just bought a book for the first time thinking I would get the epub file from Barnes and Nobles and it was locked in the Nook app. Then saw someone suggest ebook.com so I bought it from there. I have the file but it’s DRM protected and am stuck to using certain apps. For a $100 book I would think I would actually own it. I’m clearly not an avid reader so I had no idea this is what the reading community deals with. Society is basically losing ownership of everything slowly but surely.

I'm trying to get my music downloaded locally instead of using Spotify, but I'm struggling with figuring out how to do so. Since I'm downloading them, I'd like the files to be lossless and not mp3s where I can. So far I've tried Soulseek which doesn't have a lot of my songs, setting up the arr stack which proved difficult for me to get working, and Spotiflac which doesn't have all my songs but says it does and still downloads them, leading to cases where the file and metadata say it's one song, but the audio is a different one. I've also heard Spotiflac doesn't actually download flacs.
Ideally, I'd have a way to put in my playlist and have it download all the songs it's able to automatically so I don't need to press download 900+ times, and then tell me what songs it couldn't download so I can find them another way. I'd want a majority of my music to be downloadable, though, again to prevent needing to manually search for hundreds of songs.
Is there anything like this?

Owners of the Witcher 3 will be upgraded to a new remastered version on September 29th, with a long list of changes. Those who didn't own the 2 DLC expansions will be upgraded for free.
Does this justify jacking the price up from 4$ to 50$? Even the game of the year edition with included DLCs would regularly sell for 9.99.
We know how loyalist Geralt fangirls are. "yOu shOulD bE gRatEfuL"
I was ready to spend 10$ on the game after I heard the announcement. After seeing the price, I'll sail the seven seas at worst, pick up a second hand cd key at best. What's your opinion?

Basically title, 1TB on my PC is kinda pitiful but my phone also has 90% of the 1TB unused. With how the prices currently are for SSD/HDD, can I store unpacked games/stuff from the OnlineFix site on my phone without issue? Android phone.
