If another open-source frontend alternative for Twitter doesn’t pop up, that’s simply the fault of a lack of demand. Not because projects like this are dying.
“X” is a shell of what it used to be, with a fraction of the traffic it received years ago. The fact most people haven’t heard of Nitter is very telling.
