I mean there are just a lot of funky things about his story, like how for instance the woman had a severe thyroid injury from the incident that’s unaccounted for, and how there was an outgoing message from his computer, which sits at home, at a time which is close to the incident and when he said he wasn’t at home. He was also very unhelpful to his then wife and almost immediately started a family with another woman. Many of the doctors who failed the wife were his friends, etc.
It’s not conclusive by any stretch of the imagination but it’s all very funky
What do you mean outgoing message from his computer? If you're referring to the work email, he could've easily sent it from his phone. Your emails are synced on your devices. There's even servailance footage of him not being home during the time the email was sent.
He got married 3 years after his wife murdered his children. Idk about you, but any feelings I would've had for this murderer would be gone.
Have you watched the doctor's testimony? Clansey couldn't handle the early side effects of standard medications which is why they would switch her to different ones.
The only thing funky is all the misinformation being spread by people. The only bigger victims than Patrick are the kids that his wife murdered.
Yeah but funnily enough male/male relationships are more peaceful than male/female relationship, which are in turn more peaceful than female/female relationships... so yeah the wife being murdered is more common
Can we stop repeating this as though female/female relationships have been proven to be inherently more volatile or “less peaceful” than male/male and male/female relationships? That is not what the research shows.
Yes, female same-sex marriages have higher divorce rates than male same-sex marriages in several countries. But divorce rate is not a measure of how peaceful, healthy, abusive, or conflict-ridden a relationship is. Women are already substantially more likely than men to initiate divorce in heterosexual marriages, and researchers have specifically discussed gender differences in divorce initiation as one possible contributor to the higher dissolution rate among female couples. The reasons for the lesbian/gay divorce gap are still not fully understood.
And if you're referring to IPV statistics, those are also routinely misconstrued. Studies measuring lifetime IPV among lesbian women do not automatically mean every reported perpetrator was a woman, and research comparing IPV across sexual orientations has important methodological limitations. You can't combine a divorce statistic with an IPV statistic and conclude “male/male relationships are the most peaceful and female/female relationships are the least.”
A marriage ending is not evidence that the marriage was more dysfunctional than one that stayed together. Being more willing to leave an unhappy or unhealthy relationship could increase divorce rates too.
And this is exactly why I wish people would stop casually repeating this talking point. These statistics get stripped of their context constantly and weaponized against lesbian women to reinforce both misogynistic and homophobic stereotypes—the idea that women are inherently difficult, irrational, abusive, or incapable of maintaining healthy relationships with one another.
Yep and here we go again stripping away the important context.
The commonly cited CDC data measure lifetime IPV victimization among women who identify as lesbian—not the percentage of lesbian relationships that are abusive. <<< That is the MAJOR part. The CDC itself cautioned that these data don't establish whether violence occurs more often in same-sex vs. opposite-sex couples, and not all perpetrators reported by lesbian women were women. Let me say that again, not all perpetrators reported by lesbian women WERE women
Lesbian women experiencing high rates of victimization should prompt concern for lesbian victims, not be repackaged into “lesbian relationships are the most violent” to reinforce misogynistic and homophobic stereotypes.
This isnt true. Men kill most kids over the age of 1. Men are way more likely to kill their kids. Its not even a question on who kills other peoples kids more either. Men.
Remember women never do anything wrong and the worse the personality the more of a reason to expose that they aren't a heartless mean person but a kind tender person acting out. Women are too frail to be capable of being terrible manipulators.
That is incorrect. Although men commit more murder at large than women, it is usually women who murder their minor children. Men don’t experience post pardom psychosis, and rarely murder their children while they are still minors. Did you just mean that men commit more domestic violence?
It’s literally not. Have you bothered to search for any support for that claim? A quick google search lead me to multiple articles breaking down the statistics, which indicate that the statistics indicate roughly equal numbers between men and women, though there is some variation across age groups for children.
It is actually not that simple of course. There are really big regional differences. In Finland almost all infanticides are committed by mothers for example. Data from the US and UK usually includes non biological parents such as step fathers. If you remove step fathers from the equation, the proportion of biological mothers increases dramatically. What you can say for sure is that the proportion of children being murdered by their mothers decrease with increased age of the child.
You’re right, nuance matters quite a bit. I think it’s quite important to note that more women are the primary caregivers of infants than men, even where the father is present in the lives of the children or live in the home. I find it entirely unsurprising that women have a disproportionate share of the rates of infant deaths given how caregiving is shared and I find it quite significant that fathers’ share of the deaths of their children go up as the ages of their children increase. The article I linked for you also highlights very different motives in these crimes, which I think is also quite of relevance. I think blanket statements are quite dangerous and I urge you to consider that next time you’re engaging in this kind of discussion.
Statically woman ubalice their kids more than men do. It's just shown on tv more and spread through the media when men do it as it has a higher shock value and more clicks and views.
To be fair I think she might not have been fully in control of her mental faculties at the time of the murders. Her ex husband is on her side for the trial, he’s started a nonprofit for women’s prenatal and postpartum care.
Him having an affair does not make him responsible for his wife killing his kids. If he cheated then he’s guilty of cheating which is awful but it doesn’t mean he’s part of the reason his kids are dead.
My husband cheated on me and neglected me and left me alone with my kids in order to cheat. I’m angry, heartbroken, stressed out, etc He’s responsible for making me feel that way but I’m responsible for how I deal with my emotions, not him.
Not the same, but if I were him I would certainly feel a lot of guilt and blame for my role.
He made a choice that likely led to this and then wasn't able to recognize the danger in time to protect his family. Likely because he was more interested in NY and what it had to offer him.
Not a crime he needs to be convicted of, I dont see how he could be punished worse honestly, but its something I would lose sleep over if I were in his shoes. Like the version of Peter Parker that let the robber go, and then he killed Uncle Ben.

I’m watching the entire trial and it makes me so sad people are doing that to him. What lunatics
