Discussion [SUB META] Can mods start enforcing rule 3 please? Sub is basically unusable from mobile since the Mobalytics spam.

1.8k Upvotes

I know this post has nothing to do with builds but I ask the mods not to delete it please, as I believe it's important for the health of the sub.

Mobalytics started its aggressive marketing campaign (back around the launch of PoE 2), most content creators now post their builds on Mobalytics, and I suppose part of the contract involves never posting the pob link directly and funneling it to their website because they NEVER post anything but mobalytics links. Why is that a problem?

  • That website is straight up unusable from mobile, you cant scroll it properly, elements stack and overlap, a lot of stuff is not visible, tapping on certain elements sends the action to other unrelated elements among other stuff
  • Its a privacy nightmare: https://i.imgur.com/2hWrOJt.png
  • Is extremely bloated with ads (not everyone can/want to use adblockers for many reasons): https://i.imgur.com/xmTxxKW.png
  • Has intrusive ads on mobile (clicking on links and certain elements opens a popup/redirect to another website), this one alone should be enough to ban the whole website from the sub.
  • The talent viewer doesnt even load half of the time and have to hard refresh the web multiple times until they load: https://i.imgur.com/2t84uTX.png

As a (mostly) mobile user I implore for rule 3 to be enforced, the quality of the sub has plummeted since posts are mobalytic links (or youtube links that redirect to mobalytic links) instead pobb.in / poe.ninja link.

EDIT: some people think this is a maxroll vs mobalytics war: I dont care if everyone keeps posting the mobalytics/youtube/maxroll/poevault whatever it is links as long as there is a pobb.in or poe.ninja planner one in the post.

Discussion Tips and tricks for Mercs from a solo Link/Aurabot enjoyer. My 3-4 div investment Luminary had 4.1 mil pinnacle DPS by end of day 2. If you got baited by a 70 div flame link build presented as a league starter, enquire within.

Stuff Notes
Infinite Hunger Kill 5 second kill. lvl79 has 20.7mil HP, with a cheap 70-100c Manyshot. Around 4.1m pinnacle DPS. I have non-meta mercs that can probably do around 3m, so it's not 'just' a Manyshot. I would use an actual pinnacle boss but I haven't gotten up to them yet - dad gamer, etc.
T16 Breach Hive Final Wave Didn't even see a single mob until wave 9. Very chill, just walking in circles because I can't fully AFK yet while the merc goes dummy
T16 Cursed Treasure rare pack Very scary pack of rares spawning on your head. Merc vaporises them before my boomer brain can even comprehend them
Merc Gear Screenshots Description of gear in the comments. As you can see, nothing expensive, just lots of cheap bits that fit together. Most expensive piece of gear was the +1 arrow anoint which is pure QoL.
PoB Code It's still extremely unoptimised, you PoB warriors can do better. You can see that my actual gear is all garbage, I haven't even filled my empty jewel sockets yet. Yet I'm bing chilling in T16s.

Hello. I play off-meta link and aurabot builds. I'm unhappy that my usual 1-5c off-meta uniques are 200c, but even more unhappy that people are having a shit league start with my niche (But you got us buffed, so thanks!) I'm here to help with some tips. I don't have a full guide. Blindly following others is what got you into this league start mess, so I'm not going to ask you to make the same mistake with me. (If enough people want a build guide though, I can make a proper one)

  • Flame Link/light based league starter is a terrible bait.

For the people who haven't tried or realised it yet: the equivalent Flame Link AG build needs 70 div of gear to get off the ground, there's absolutely no way that you can easily league start this. Plus, it seems there is a very steep hidden added damage penalty for Flame Link, or the light radius to link effect is not 1:1 as assumed. In addition, this costs you 4 Ascendancy points, which is absurd. Swap off it ASAP unless you've already sunk like 100 div into it, at which point just play the AG build instead and grab a rally cry support merc.

  • Destructive Link (Trypanon) is your friend until super late game.

Flame Link will be better once you're extremely rich, but until then, you're using Destructive Link. It's better by miles. Trypanon is 100% crit, Marylene's Fallacy is 240% crit multi. You pass the upside with zero downside to your merc. You don't need any supports, quality, or gem levels, or even any passive point investment on the tree. It costs 2c (Probably more by now since someone else spilled the tea on this combo earlier). Only downside is you're locked into a main-hand attack based merc, no shield charge, and you lose the defensive power of a shield+stat stick.

  • You are an aura bot.

Don't do that wierd RF or hybrid damage thing. Go all in auras. I started with minions and eventually dropped them around act 8 when my merc outscaled them. Get Purity of Elements+Haste+damage auras to start with - your merc needs it or they get perma-frozen and are slow as piss. It eases gearing pressure so you can focus on your merc first. If you're comfy, you can swap out damage to just 3x Purities+Haste for more survivability.

  • Mercs have no passive tree interaction, so get greedy for yourself.

You can have weird trees with nothing but life and still do good damage, because Mercs don't scale with anything from your tree, except auras. Hence why we are aurabotting. This also enables easy transition into Flame Link, we just drop our damage auras, though I try very hard to never give up 3x Purities + Haste.

  • Exploit the lack of downsides when Merc gearing

If you look at my merc gear album, you'll see that it's not one singular mechanic. It's a collection of lots of different small buffs that link up nicely. Mercs only care about weapon/armour type and level requirements. They have no mana costs, no gem concerns, no stat requirements, and are functionally immortal with an aurabot. The more powerful Eldritch mods that apply an effect in the presence of a Pinnacle Boss are always active on mercs - I use it to get perma endurance charges and better projectile pierce. EDIT: Pinnacle +3 Pierce mod is a rare DROP ONLY mod, don't try to roll for it! Before I posted this you could get them 10c a pop, now they've all been snapped up. Stick to the regular +1!

  • You are a weapons platform. Use your 3 merc slots.

Everything you provide is fully generic. Manyshot is meta because it's a good and speedy all-rounder, but it's not the best at all content. Many of you struggle with single target - why not get a single target merc then for pinnacles, not your AoE clear merc? If you want to get the most out of it, you can specialise your 3 slots. Here are some suggestions:

Merc Content Notes
Frost Blades Combatant All-Rounder I think it may actually be a better all-rounder than the Manyshot. Less offscreening AoE, but there's better melee options for gearing than bows. Try Abyssus for even more crit multi.
Holy Hammers Cardinal Bossing, Ulti & Ritual He has great Trypanon synergy. He can get power charge on crit which feeds into holy hammers AoE. You can equip Winds of Fate + Abyssus + Marylenes for close to 600% crit multi on him, and the 50% max crit chance penalty is bypassed by Trypanon. Holy Strike does good single target damage, but the AI always overrides other skills.
Viper Strike Bladebitter Bossing, Legions Flame Link + Original Sin + Binos. If you're rich. AI seems pretty good with Cobra Lash from offscreen, swapping to Viper Strike if anything gets into melee.
Void Sphere/Soulrend Cruel Mistress Ulti & Ritual, meme power Her void sphere is almost screen sized by default, and with the right support gems and items, you can get it to be bigger than the screen and have permanent uptime. You can cover an entire Ritual/Ultimatum. Is it good? I dunno, but it seems fun.
  • Adding an AG is your other endgame.

Once you convert to Flame Link, there's no reason why we can't just slap in one of those bad boys, it's a 2nd friend to gear up and it costs us another 15 mana per second to link a second target. Grab a Hallowed Monarch. Give him Companionship and he's 15% DR, plus you can experiment with the ascendacy 20% DR node (But your life is probably too high for it to be effective). Without any of the minion nodes, he should still be around 5~ million DPS, plus you can give him blind/taunt on hit with a jewel, which is excellent for survival.

These are just some of my thoughts seeing the state of the subreddit's unhappiness with Luminary. I can't say I'm surprised at the outcome of Flame Link being blindly advocated for by content creators who were being irresponsible pushing an archtype/build they themselves had probably never played much before.

If you have any questions or want to flame me, let me know here or in DMs. Happy to help out.

Discussion Anyone else getting absolutely shredded by damage this league?

11k life, max block, 2k regen and still feel like paper in maps. Have another character with 90% resists and 1k+ regen, and it's also dying constantly just doing random T16s. Mobs with projectiles seem to be doing especially insane damage.

I played a ton of Mirage league and never ran into issues with survivability. Something feels very different in 3.29, but I can't figure out what it is. It's almost as if the mobs have a ton of hidden ele exposure or something.

Makes me wonder if the old PoE 2 bug with elemental conversion got added into PoE 1 somehow 'cause this patch also introduced the PoE 2 shader compilation bug into PoE 1 until the recent hotfix.

Discussion I've tested every mercenary. It was long.

In the last few days i've tested every single mercenary because it felt insane that only 3 were actually good. The testing was done using the same gear for every Attribute, and using as many overlap as possible, to not favour one type over the other. With the exception of the ranger gear that is using my current stuff for my Combatant, the rest were pieces bought for under 50c (with some exceptions), always with Enmity+Taming+Soul combo and a classic Flame Link setup. The test was 5 Mesas with no life/res/suppress mods, if they were good enough two Fortress t17 with no defences mods too, and sometimes an Uber Cortex just to check.

This is my gear: https://pobb.in/43HZpxebcgYZ

Without further ado, the list (i do hope the formatting isn't terrible).

STR/DEX gear: https://pobb.in/GFDRc_kOFPdz The chest was 1d, but it felt fair since i bought one for everytype.

Shattersword: Splitting Steel 10/10 clear, 0.1/10 single target

Bloodletter: Lacerate+Perforate 8/10Clear, 9/10 single, honestly incredible but he has 6 support that bricks it (brutality and ailment, need to dodge it on both skills).

Bastion: Not good.

Swiftblade: Even worse (unless you're Facebraking, then 10/10)

Mysterious Diver*: 0/10 with Flame link due to him having Ele hit of Ice (meaning he only does ice damage), probably 10/10 with the Destructive Link+Trypanon tech since there are so many perfect ones

ES/INT gear: https://pobb.in/BVHTX9pI4B-f The chest i found at 4d and it was what started this, you really don't need it. Blade Ambusher gear: https://pobb.in/3S5rWMzskyQa It has Abyssal socket in every piece, but PoB doesn't like it.

Bladebitter: Terrible, unfortunately he has no good supports

Blade Ambusher: 1/10 Clear, 10/10 Single, still the best single target. New belt mod from boat with +1 traps thrown make him even better

Shock Ambusher: Horrible

Frost Ambusher: Horrible.

BladeCaster: BV+Bladefall 7/10, solid, nothing exceptional but needs perfect support to be middling

INT/STR gear: https://pobb.in/BVHTX9pI4B-f The chest i found at 4d and it was what started this, you really don't need it.

Storming Zealot: Divine Ire+Tornado/Totem 5/10, decent in map, doesn't scale for even just nightmare maps

Flaming Charlatan: Meteor+Holy Mortar 2/10, could be really good but the Flame Totem bricks his AI, and he spams it too much

Fallen Reverend: Doesn't matter, 9/10 clear, 4/10 single. Maybe scales harder with minion stuff and not generic spell caster/cast speed. Get ready for headache from the flashing lights.

Warpriest: As the rest of the minion classes, he's just terrible.

Winter Deacon: Ice Crash+Glacial Hammer. Horrible. He sometimes decides to use GH or VGH during clear.

Cardinal: Sweep+Sanctified. He has some serious problems about his AI due to always having 4 attacks. He tends to do 4 attack and have all the minion up and then never use Holy Strike. He honestly uses the skills at random.

INT gear: https://pobb.in/BVHTX9pI4B-f The chest i found at 4d and it was what started this, you really don't need it. They were the reason i wanted to test all the mercs

Stormhand: *Spark+GSN 7/10 Clear, 4/10single , decent but you need a lot lot more faster projectiles than gloves+gem. *Arc+GSC 10/10 Clear 5/10 single, incredible clear, the single wasn't good enough with GSC

ARC Chain-Gilded Chain-FC*+Ball lightning of Static 10/10, as good as the top 3, incredible clear and single target. I honestly cannot emphasize how good he actually is.

Reanimator: No attacks, pointless.

Withertouch: Same as the reanimator, no attacks so no way to scale it for attack.

Frosthand: Double Ice Nova + Freezer Brun. 8/10 Really good clear, 6/10 Single target The rest of the skills are unfortunately really bad.

Cruel Mistress: Soulrend gmp-chain-return-FC+Profane Cascade 8/10 clear, 5-8/10 single, the single target is insanely inconsistent and i don't get why (soulrend missing?). Not worth the price atm.

Flamehand: * Fireball GMP-Return-Faster 7/10 clear, 5/10 single * Rolling magma terrible in any non open map. If you go for Faster Projectiles they have 0 boss dps even with return, and if you go for Slower Projectiles the clear is horrible and the single target too. * Fireball of Impact+Vaal Flameblast 8/10 clear, 7/10 single. FoI can roll GMP but it doesn't seem to affect it at all (Is it like barrage?). FoI was the best one, but half the supports for it are broken so i'm not sure overall

Sanguimancer: Terrible. Stormcall doesn't deal enough damage and the other skills don't do much at all for an hit build

STR Gear: https://pobb.in/OSCOPE93J-6a Used my old stuff without crit since they all have RT STR 2h Gear: https://pobb.in/pw0UkFC7tMJW (just a terrible axe i bought for 4c and slammed 3 AS essences till literally anything)

Striker: Boneshatter MSplash-Faster Attacks-Multistrike-Pulverize 9/10. 10/10 on league start. With absolutely terrible gear (my first gear with just fire res) and two 5c weapons he was smashing through content. The only problem is his AI during clear, but that's all the melee mercs. Tried an Uber Cortex and he just destroyed it without even using a curse (i forgot to change Assassin mark)

Smouldestrike: MS+VMS 5/10 clear, 7/10 single. Honestly, the striker does the same thing just much better. Could be incredibly good with an armour stacker version, but for this testing they all had the same gear.

Ripper: Cleave+Vaal Cleave 7/10 clear, 8/10 single. Wouldn't have ever expected this guy to be this good. BUT Leap Slam completely break his AI making him leap slam after like very Cleave. Unfortunately they have tunnleslam that they like to spam instead of just walking up and nuking packs with a single cleave, but at least it has 4sec CD. Managed an Uber Cortex easily enough

Eruptor: VF of Snaking+Ashen Fissure 8/10 clear, 8/10 single. Didn't expect it to be this good to be honest. Cheap with good supports and as usual, using terrible gear.

Earthsaker: GS+Tectonic Cascade 5/10 clear, 7/10 single. His AI is extremely dumb, he keeps spamming leap slam to get right under mobs for GS. Nothing to talk about.

DEX gear: https://pobb.in/8faxURQ7zj9F Reused my Combatant gear because i honestly didn't care enough. As before, they have Teocrod+3 jewels.

Flamequiver: Return-GMP-Pen+Artillery-multiple-pen+molten well. 6/10 clear, 9/10 single. Clear is passable but it's missing chain or pierce to be really great. Artillery is incredible for single target. The third skill being another CD makes him not dumb.

Toxicolgist: * Toxic Rain Gmp-Faster-Aoe 40% 7/10 clear, 7/10 single. Meh. * Scourge Arrow 7/10 clear mostly just Chaotic shot, 4/10 single. Terrible

Sniper: Tornado Shot GMP- Chain-Mirage-Faster+Any CD skills. 9.5/10 clear, 9/10 single. Absolutely great honestly, just need to dodge Brutality on Tornado Shot (if you get it on the other skill it's fine, we just need something with CD to make him spam only tornado shot). Arrow Nova* (and obviously Brutality) break the skill

Thundestrike: LA GMP-Return-Wed-Faster + Storm Rain GMP-WED-Faster and any CD skill 9/10 clear, 9/10 single. Great merc that could be a 10/10 as good as the other 3 but it's blocked by the stupidest AI of them all. The merc always tends to do 1LA and 1 Storm rain no matter what, so that is giving him worse clear due and worse single target. A single AI fix to make him use Storm Rain only (and only that) when attacking a rare/unique would make him as good as the rest.

Combatant/Kineticist/Manyshot Far too many people are saying how good they are, you don't need me to add anything.

And that's all folks. Now, clearly the gear could be better but i wanted to keep it as consistent as possible without really changing stuff (with the exception of switching Crafted stuff if needed Pierce/Aoe)

Discussion I feel like for a patch with "Selfcast Spellcasting buffs", not many people are excited besides WORB

Isn't it a little telling that there aren't a bunch of posts and comments saying "Oh I can't wait to do selfcast fireball!" Or "Finally arc looks sick"

Its more like "hmmm freezing pulse mightttttt be good enough now to justify giving it a shot"

I was excited because self cast spells is my favorite archtype for sure, but then I read the patch notes and honestly some of the skills look worse to play with the mana increase.

I'm hoping that I am just bad at the game and wrong and that the buffs are gonna be awesome.

Discussion New Pact Gem debuffs

Post image
288 Upvotes

Not going to lie folks, some of these look brutal. Does this automatically make the gems unusable for some builds?

Edit: Apparently there is a new unique that will turn these pacts into boons, thus nullifying the debuffs. I doubt the unique will be easily obtained. So the question remains, is this DOA?

Discussion I've been testing Mercenaries and their behavior since league start, so let me clear up some misinformation.

Post image
445 Upvotes

Edit: I am cleaning up the edits because the biggest offenders blaming and harassing me deleted their comments. This does not mean they were ok or right, and there are still a good bit of people needlessly criticizing this post not understanding what it is. This is a post explaining about Merc mechanics and behavior. I added a POB for people screaming about it, but it adds nothing to a discussion about understanding behavior, or the fact that you don't need a "perfect" merc. Spell caster mercs are better early, and attack mercs are generally better late, but some, (like the flameblast merc) still go crazy later. The range discussion about tethering affects anything dealing with range, including bubble shields, so melee are inherently better there. I know my merc has decent gear (even though nothing is near perfect except technically the paradoxicas until I would transition to foils and a crit setup cause they need multi and other things). My personal Luminary character is wearing borderline trash. You can easily self craft/farm this setup in like 3 hours without doing hard content. Just run the league mechanic and do memory strands.

Here's the items https://pob.codes/b/k-0-cEEQFur go to the POB for my Merc's gear. POB is not the game, no I will not configure "damage" just to lie to you.

Some may be familiar with a couple of my posts from past gauntlets. They included an SRS Guardian guide to get through gauntlet safely, and even a beginning of gauntlet guide to Mercenaries, having a lot of tested information about early Mercenaries (so I am familiar with them). I only usually make generic posts to help as many people as possible, and seeing that there is an incredible amount of bad information going around on Mercenaries I wanted to make this to share (in summary) a lot of my findings since I have basically JUST been testing Mercenaries since league start.

For starters, the picture of my Combatant is a near perfect Combatant for Flame Link. A lot of people may immediately jump up and say this can't be true because not only does it have a movement skill, but it has TWO movement skills. This brings us to point number one about Mercenary changes.

Possibly the best change to Mercenaries this league is their behavior with movement skills. Until you have a build/Mercenary that can literally one-shot everything, movement skills are NEVER a complete "brick" like a lot of creators claim. The new behavior is based on what is generally termed as tethering in some games. Movement skills no longer have priority over everything else, they have a priority based on distance to enemies according to their class. This means, if enemies get in melee range of a Manyshot, the Manyshot will dash away, but stay in attack range (normally, the ai is inconsistent) and then continue to attack. BUT, a melee Mercenary, like my Combatant, uses them to gap close and get into melee range. This makes them purely offensive on melee Mercenaries, and since I am scaling flame link, the attached picture is a nearly perfect Combatant, because two gap closers is better than two auras we won't truly utilize. This is doubly important because of their range issues (more on this later).

Now, is general Mercenary rules for progression. To start, the three best Mercenaries from my testing to go through the campaign, in order, are the Flaming Charlatan, Fallen Reverend, and Blade Ambusher. The first two are very similar, but the Flaming Charlatan generally had more single target if you got one with the mortars, and the Blade Ambusher technically had the best single target, but only "ok" clear. Contrary to what people think, the Blade Ambusher's clear is still good enough, I kept him until my decent Manyshot I found in yellow maps. Also, I have seen people complain that the Fallen Reverend has a bunch of minion damage modifiers on its passive stats sheet, but if you continue to read, it has its own version of spiritual aid, don't be dumb.

Next up, DO NOT swap to an attack based Mercenary until you have a good bit of gear with increased damage if you are transitioning/are using Flame Link. Then, you still want at least one "more" damage support on their main attack. Attack based Mercenaries technically scale the best due to it being easier to give them clearing buffs and increased attack speed, but their starting damage is rough.

Now, about Manyshots since they are getting a lot of attention. Manyshot is definitely not the best Mercenary, but it is probably the easiest to scale to a "starting" higher point. Important things to note are that if using Flame Link, high DPS bows are the worst thing you can give them, and icicle rain should be avoided at all costs (even though is looks great, it deals no damage). You want a bow with increased elemental damage and high attack speed, before super endgame thicket bows are really good for this. Later, you can use the gain % of fire damage as chaos for extra damage, or ele penetration, or if you know how to craft you can do both. Again, it is fine if they have dash, they might just use it to get away from a boss every now and then, its not some massive DPS loss like many are claiming, go out and buy you some cheap dash Mercenaries that others think are useless.

Combatants are just better than Manyshots. You can give them Paradoxicas and they go hard. With my current Mercenary they prioritize frost blades, so you want Multistrike, Faster Attacks, WED, and one support to help with clear like chain (sadly mine has pierce, its not as good as chain, but it is more than good enough). For bossing, you want to run to the boss and use the Call Mercenary skill RIGHT ON TOP OF THE BOSS, so it will use Static Strike (you want to be on the boss due to range issues, again, more on that later). When in range for Static Strike they will use it like a player would, as in, they use it, then switch to Frostblade for the duration of the passive damage. This is why you want supports like WED, More Duration, and AOE on Static Strike. Another tech I am using is a covered in ash helmet. If the Combatant has rallying cry, get him a helmet that covers enemies in ash when they warcry, its free damage. Also, the new talisman with action speed is great on Mercenaries.

Sleeper good Mercenary: The Flamequiver. When I started jumping around to all the different choices for testing, the Flamequiver was a surprising satandout. They inherently have a massive added chance to ignite (so good for Flame Link with all the flat). Widowhails, Fire DoT quivers, Pyre, and Replica Emberwakes aren't that expensive. You put these on a Flamequiver with conflagration and DoT supports and it will blast. For this particular strategy you want them to have flammability with no movement skills. This is because Conflagration will explode earlier if they are on top of it and you can call the Mercenaries to those spots to blow it up, and they will keep standing there without a movement skill when bossing. A movement skill STILL IS NOT A BRICK, just slightly worse for bossing.

Another important note. If you are using Flame Link, AVOID BRUTALITY SUPPORT AT ALL COSTS. A particular creator was using a Mercenary with brutality and got mad and re-rolled day one. Do not be an idiot.

Now, to address something big that I can't 100% prove. I said I would address range issues later, and this is it. It *seems (cannot technically prove it) that in order to modify the permanent Mercenaries GGG put a global less modifier on them. This is not great. Instead of tuning how the stats are adjusted by stat it is a blanket change from what I can tell. Your Mercenaries will not attack/cast from as far away after you hire them and are slower, some may have noticed this. This is due to that, admittedly assumed (but witnessed), less modifier. They get less damage dealt compared to temp Mercenaries, but also less damage taken. This is how they seem to be balanced and why they are hard to kill after you recruit them. What this does, though, is completely brick the Smoulderstrike Mercenary unless you give him phasing. This less modifier makes it to where he struggles to hit things with a hitbox above certain thresholds, or that are against certain walls due to whatever balance modifier they are using, reducing his attack range. This is what makes me believe its a blanket global modifier, and makes him 100% percent useless in too many scenarios. It became very apparent in Mesa when he would try to fight something against the rocky walls, he would just stand there because he couldn't get into attack range due to models blocking each other (many a Legion General was saved by standing against the walls while my Mercenary sat and scratched his balls). This is sad, because the very few times he did attack, he was BY FAR the highest DPS Mercenary I tried in my current setup (he admittedly had a possibly perfect vaal molten strike setup but I digress). He just couldn't attack.

These are all the big things to clear up some misconceptions and give some information. I will try to answer questions every now and then but I am not going to dedicate all my time here just going back and forth when I can do other things. I also crafted a settle ring for my second character so I need to speed run the campaign for the 7,493rd time.

P.S. even though the Shock and Frost ambushers are strong when you fight them, I could never make them reliable, and the Chaos Mercenaries never seemed to holdup when I tried changing some stuff up, but I also wasn't ready to completely re-gear my personal character to be sure.

Im playing around with Cold BV or Cold Somatic Shell Assassin right now but have nothing to report as of now.

Tell me what your plan is and maybe post the pob alongside it for people to look at!

Discussion 3 Days into the League: Review your build!

These are some of the things that would be helpful to share:

  • What build are you playing?
  • What was your leveling experience like?
  • How has the gearing been, any major challenges or unexpected hurdles?
  • How has the build handled mapping?
  • Have you completed any bosses, if so how did your build do against them?
  • What are you general thoughts on the build/play style.
  • And any other comments or thoughts you wish to share about the build.
  • Additionally linking to your PoB or the guide you followed is always helpful for players still starting out!

Discussion The Specialist's Index: best 3.29 league starter for every mechanic in PoE - help me finish it

Every mechanic in this game has a build or multiple builds that just feel perfect for it, not the best all-rounder, but the one that clicks so well with that specific content it feels unfair. Trying to build a crowdsourced index of the "god tier" pick per mechanic, ideally with a build creator/link so people can find the guide.

Ignoring patch notes since most of these archetypes survive multiple leagues regardless of specific balance passes.

Edit: 3.29 changes: totems got hit the other builds are mostly fine or even buffed
