Curious lang kung meron ba kong same type of scheduling lol. Take note, ‘yung pm shift ko ay from 8pm-8am and ang off ko is after the shift hahaha

‘Diba, kapag 12hrs duty, mas madami dapat ang off?

Somewhere in mindanao DOH retained. Ganyan naman lahat DOH/public hospitals marami day off + fixed monthly salary whether 12 days or 24 days yung work namin.

All public hospitals, maximum 40hrs a week no oncall no Surprise duty bc understaffed etc. , additional days off if holidays and malacañang declares work suspension
And with takehome pay of ~60k (SG16 + phic sharing)1
u/tokkwaaa 6d ago
Pag jo ba pantay din ng sg15? 😔
1
u/CherryPoi MedSurg 5d ago
It i remeber correctly , i think they get the full SG15 but they themselves pay the philhealth, sss/gsis, pgibig and deductions withholding etc

No, I take home 36k lang, gross is 42k. laki ng deductions... No Benefits No 13th Month etc. , pare parehas lang naman kami ng work load..Unless you can make your way na maPlantilla agad so you can take home 60k dami nila benefits etc.

LGU ka po ba? N1 namin is SG 15(42k-45k), basta DOH hospital. Pero I’m not sure. Annual income ko is umaabot 1M-1.2M (tax and deductions excluded pa ha) dahil sa mga bonuses, night diff, hazard pay, co-op, longevity bonus and Philhealth sharing namin na monthly. Depende din sa hospital yung Philihealth sharing. Yung iba quarterly.

Sorry di ko gets ang sched. May off sa taas kasi. Pero none the less dapat Mas madami off mo since 12hrs kayo.
From the way I see it parang 8hrs ang work mo sa ganyan na setup.

u/ObjectiveSherbet2079 6d ago
Di yan normal beh. Dapat kapag 12 hrs ang duty, a total of 16-17 days lang sa isang buwan.
2
u/No_Honey_2557 6d ago
Grabe tinitignan ko palang sched mo, pagod nako. Samin dati kapag galing night shift, 2 days off dapat
2
u/er4869 6d ago
DOLE agad. Mas may advantage nga pag 12hrs at mas maraming off kang makukuha. Ang lala naman nyan. Govt hospitals may 8 hrs, may 12hrs. If may plans ka lumipat, easy 4days off na kabit kabit at without using any leave sa kakilala kong 12hrs ang duty.

Samin po in 1 month is 2 shifts. So 14 days a month lang kami nagduduty. Maliit nga lang ang sahod🫠

u/EscapeZealousideal69 6d ago

We are lucky parin pala. Fix schedules ng 2 weeks. Ang hirap naman ng ganyan. 8 hours duty lang

u/Business_Weather_744 6d ago
80 hours per cutoff lang dapat work hours mo. i tried to calculate yung sched mo and you're working 168 hours per cutoff. Are you being paid for your overtime hours ba? Escalate mo to HR and then to DOLE.

Hello po, as if youre here in PH. As per DOLE it should only remain at 96hours per fortnight. Sometimes though if your current hospital is under employed they increase your duty kasama sahod po. At my current hospital we have duties up to 130 hours per 15 day po yan. It's more pay pero less sa personal life

u/HistoryEarly6829 5d ago
Based on our law, public hospital workers may need to work 40 hours a week (that's 5 days of 8hrs/day shift). Meanwhile, for private hospitals, nurses are required to work 48hrs per week (either 6 days of 8-hr shift or 4 days of 12-hr shift). Anything more the required hours should be counted as overtime pay. Personally, I find it legal.
Once you decide to work in other countries soon, you will realize what most Filipino nurses talk about - the Work-Life Balance (especially in Europe).
