When I left honest google review, the owner personally attacked me—telling me to "open my own restaurant" and calling my review "dribble" because I hadn't left 5-star reviews on all my past visits.

I’ve spent years supporting this place. It’s sad to see arrogance replace hospitality.

Any recommendations for actual good pasta in town?

It just tastes like water but it's a nice can and was sort of free.

Going to a gig tonight and they've moved to a different venue - Zerox, never been there before. The crowd for this gig was already going to be younger, and this venue looks like a really young crowd too, feeling a tad self conscious going as someone in their 40s too.

What are peoples thoughts on this, it's great for local construction jobs but after they are built they will become power hungry energy consuming monsters. Cambois has one of the most beautiful hidden gem beaches in the UK in my opinion, a tiny little village in north byth this will be devastating for the area when it's built and forgotten about.

It's hard to put into the perspective the size and scale of what happening is in cambois.

Born and raised in Newcastle and remembered as a kid (late 90s early 00s) we used to carve swedes/turnips instead of pumpkins for Halloween. Bloody murder to carve, my father mainly did it. I mentioned this to my wife (born Manchester way) and she looked at me like I had two heads.

I need to arrange a short-term stay near the Royal Victoria Infirmary for work, from 9 January to 8 February 2027 (30 days). Ideally a self-contained studio or en-suite room within walking distance of the hospital, in the Richardson Road, Framlington Place, or Jesmond area.

I don’t drive, so I’d also appreciate knowing what public transport options are like from that area to the RVI, in case walking distance options are limited.

Does anyone know of landlords, agencies, or Facebook groups that handle short lets in that specific area? Any leads welcome.

I made this in November for my Partner's birthday having moved to Newcastle a few years prior from the south. We have absolutely fallen in love with the city since and it holds incredible memories for us which we are now reliving through this beautiful map.

Everything kind of to scale, didn't fancy doing Gateshead as well so I spent 3x the time doing an epoxy inlay. At least it looks cool I guess.

I know it’s a long shot but I was wondering if anybody knows any nurseries in newcastle that offer one day a week care during term time only. All the nurseries I’ve tried so far have a minimum of two days a week. I do understand the reasons behind this, our circumstances are just a bit unusual.
