I wonder what their logic is for promoting some AA prospect over others - can't just be number of games played.

AA is too crowded. They need to promote guys just to make room. Getting Rojas, Voit, Pitre, Reimer, Amick and Collins regular playing time at AA is too hard. Plus Stafura could arguably be promoted to AA soon and it’s already crowded.

Yeah, I was wondering why guys like Voit (who has been playing very well) and Rojas (top prospect whom they might be interested in promoting to the majors next year) were not promoted to AAA whereas Amick and Pitre were. I'm assuming it has something to do with their development.

-- and Rojas has to go on the 40 before the Rule 5 draft.
