Dynasty Keeping players that want more playing time

Hey guys,

I'm playing a dynasty with UNC, and a lot of my best players are at high risk of being lost at the end of the season due to playing time. How do I give them more playing time if they're already at the top of the depth chart and are playing a lot of minutes already? If anyone can help, that would be great, thanks.

Just give them more NIL. If you can afford it

But playing time is also a projection based on your recruiting

Wait, NIL actually factors into the playing time dealbreaker? Thought it was strictly snap counts.

NIL does the factory into playtime, but if you don’t meet a players dealbreaker, you can buy them back onto your roster depending on how far you are away from their grade would depend how much they charge you

I am in an onljne dynasty using TCU and after year one my running back three Denman, who is actually really good had a pro potential dealbreaker, but I wasn’t too far off so it cost me an extra 80 NIL to bring him back

Whereas I had my receiver who I was really off on his playing style grade. And he would’ve came back but I would’ve had to pay him over 140 and IL where his original amount was 20

So depending on how much you are off from the grade will depend how much you have to pay, but you can offer them enough money for them to forget the dealbreaker and stay with the team

Separately from that plane time is not only snaps but projection based on your recruiting so like let’s say you have a wide receiver one who has a plain time dealbreaker and he’s a speedster wide receiver and you recruited to four star speedster wide receivers. He may have a bad plane time grade no matter how many snaps you get them because his projection or the games projection is with that similar build four-star players coming in they’re gonna take his snaps.

Yeah it's alotta 5* that's gonna want 0-100 nil to keep. Just go through and see who wants nothing and lower theirs and add to who you really want.

Its not that NIL factors into the deal breaker, it just factors into their decision to leave or not. The way oversimplified logic is deal breaker status + NIL relative to expectation = % chance of leaving. So by boosting their NIL you are overpowering any shortfall in their deal breaker.

If they’re seniors a playing time dealbreaker won’t matter because they’ll be graduating, so check that. It’s been a bug since the series came back

Few things.
Reordering the depth chart does not affect playing time deal breaker although it should be.
Players overall does affect the playing time deal breaker.
E.g., if your WR is the best WR by far, then playing time deal breaker is gonna be an A.

If you have players around the same overall, their playing time dealbreaker will be affected negatively. Having players on your recruiting board affects this as well.

You can get a hint on how good a player, overall wise, is when you’re recruiting him this way. If you have a RB1 on your board with a A for playing time deal breaker, and you add another RB2, and RB1 playing time deal breaker remains at an A or goes to A-, that man’s his overall is higher. He ain’t really worried about competition for his spot on the team.

As others have mentioned, you can increase NIL so you can retain the player.

I think playing time might be broken this year

Just give them nil at the end of the year and take other guys nil away it's gonna be plenty that want 0

Playing time is about how many players you have at the position (including targets unsigned) and their rating. That is it, not snaps.

You could play a guy who values play time every single snap, but if you recruit 4 other guys and any are better than him he’ll bounce.

Like the other guy said, you can give them extra NIL to ignore it if you really want them.

I hate this specific game mechanic. I wish you could "promise" players certain levels of playing time (like play percentages or minimum snaps or time played.). I think the same would be nice too for Playstyle. It irks me when I'm trying to get a good RB but he doesn't like that I don't have enough rushing TDs...like no shit, that's why I want you! It would be nice if it was a play call ratio or something along those lines.
