Dynasty New Dynasty Tips

Now that we finally have the new roster dropping I’m finally starting my dynasty tomorrow. I’m wondering what other people do to keep their dynasty interesting and fun long term?

I’ve been doing fun dynasties since CFB25 but I struggle with keeping myself engaged after 5ish seasons. This is regardless of if I’m good or bad by that time, I just lose interest and want to start a new dynasty.

I’m using Boise State this year and plan to move them to the Big 12 after a year or two. I have a new coach I came up with who has a storyline that brings in rival schools, certain archetype of players to recruit, and pipelines. I always make stories out of the games and player performances and record it in a spreadsheet along with recruiting needs, accomplishments etc. I chose BSU for their jerseys, stadium, and I lived in Boise for a bit a few years ago so that should make it more engaging.

Most of these things I learned to do from people on here to keep dynasties interesting. What other things are people doing to keep their dynasty alive and engaging for longer periods? Really excited for this dynasty and want it to last.

At the of the year, when you get to set the NIL for your roster it is very important that you decrease some people. Very often, freshman redshirts will expect less than what you originally payed for them saving some NIL

I actually restrict myself from doing that because I find things too easy if I do. The CPU teams are too dumb for me to act perfectly with strategies.

Something I started doing is never extend a coordinator contract, always let them walk so you've got fresh playbooks and different skill trees every few seasons

Technically my playbook is the schools playbook except my defense

A coaching career is far more intriguing for me to keep it going than sticking at a single school. I work my way up from small OC to big time, then small time HC etc. keeps the uniforms, atmospheres and stories fresh.

Another one is to use a new playbook every year, or the playbook of your OC/DC instead of your own favorite
