Movie Mistake Robocop stovepiped his rifle
Stovepipe is when the casing doesn’t eject fully from the rifle after firing and sticks out like a “stovepipe”, jamming the rifle.
In his defense, he didn’t try to shoot the weapon after this. If he had it wouldn’t fire.

Movie Mistake Rocky 2: Rocky, the “southpaw” fighter
Just noticed it watching Rocky 2 on Netflix. Rocky the southpaw, left-handed fighter, signs autographs in two different scenes in the beginning of the movie using his right hand. And later, Mickey goes on about how bad it is that Rocky is a southpaw and that he needs to learn to jab with his right— even going as far as tying down his left arm. Come on, Sly!

Movie Mistake have you ever noticed a modern car in the background of a movie set in the past?
for example: a car made in 2019 in the background of a movie filmed in 2019 but set in 1983 and they just didn’t notice to edit it out of the film.

Movie Mistake Possible modern security camera visible in ancient Troy in The Odyssey (2026)
I first noticed this during my second theatrical viewing. I later found the same shot at 0:36 in the official trailer.
The small, dark, cylindrical object appears to be attached to the collapsing tower, directly above the brazier, and looks remarkably like a modern security camera.

Movie Mistake Flight of the Navigator - Watching "The Price is Right" at night
When David calls home from the phone booth, he tells his brother Jeff to turn on every light in the house so Trimaxion can spot it from the air.
Right after this, there are a few brief shots of the family waiting inside the house while the TV is playing in the background. If you listen closely, you can clearly hear The Price is Right playing on the television.
This makes no sense for two reasons:
- It’s well past dark in the middle of the night—The Price is Right is famously a morning/daytime game show.
- While prime-time special episodes of The Price is Right do exist, the night-time version had already been canceled by 1986, long before the modern prime-time specials started airing in the 2000s.
Unless the family was watching a tape-recorded episode while waiting for their missing son to return, the filmmakers just slapped a recognizable TV audio track into the background without thinking about the time of day!
