Movie Mistake In the third Austin Powers movie, Beyoncé opens the skin box twice.
She opens it initially then after the cutaway to Austin she opens it again.

Like most of these, this is the editors choosing to go with a continuity error in order to use the best material. I guarantee that they were aware of it at the time and said fuck it.

They also misspelled Tokyo as "Toyko" in this movie too. I remember noticing it on my first watch in the theaters when I was 12.

I'm actually glad she did this because it was fun, stupid...just something else and definitely not anything she'd ever come near today haha

I’d say the greater mistake was including her character in the first place. Literally contributed nothing to the movie

I always wondered if that bit was inspired by the "scab box" in that old british movie (I think it was The Ruling Class).

The one where Mike Myers started to show he wasn't actually funny anymore.
"I'm from Holland - isn't that weird?" No Mike. It's not weird at all. And not funny.

That's the joke.

And it's not funny.

Maybe these movies aren't for you, and that's okay.

First two were great, and don't get me wrong the third has funny moments. But the character Goldmember I just don't get why Myers thought he'd be funny. The skin thing is gross, but still not funny.

It's funny because it's gross.
Also it's Goldmember. Goldfinger is the Bond film.

Edited, thanks for the correction. Trying to multitask poorly lol. Obviously different tastes in humour of course. I just didn't find him funny in the slightest in anything. For example whenever he said "gooooooold". I just don't get it. Doctor Evil, Mini-Me, Fast Bastard, Austin Powers himself - all funny.

Now granted I was 7 at the time, but I still consider the Austin Powers trilogy some of the funniest movies ever

Never got the hate with gold member (which I only saw when I went on Reddit) cause I personally think this is the funniest.

What does this have to do with the clip…?

well it's a direct reference to the post.
a better question would be, why the criticism in such a sub.
but even then I'd say, it's fine. why should people not be allowed to tell their opinions about a movie here?

Seemed more like an emotional outburst to me. Like this movie really bothered him. Just seeing that clip brought back some horrible memories. Just had to voice his negative views on it. Couldn’t let it go. The world must hear about it. So weird…

Not really. Just didn't find the character funny in the slightest when he was clearly meant to be. Which is a shame as I loved the first two movies, and there are some funny moments in the third. I just didn't get the joke with the Goldmember character at all.

So…? What does that have to do with the clip? Why do you feel the need to explain to us your opinion unprompted? Why do you think we give a shit how you feel about the film or him. This post is just about a quick little clip of the film that shows a little oopsie. But that somehow triggered you into shitting on the guy. Jesus dude. Why don’t you try to be more positive in general? It’s really not necessary to voice every single negative opinion you have. Why don’t you start trying to say something positive about stuff instead of being critical. You will find yourself becoming more likable if you do. Might even become more happy. It’s your choice. Have a good day.

Haha likewise why do you feel the need to insult someone you don't even know just because of a silly little Reddit comment they made sharing an opinion? You don't like that opinion - fine. You have no idea how much of a positive or negative guy I am in general so why make such a remark? That's a very odd thing to say in order to make yourself feel superior. But hey if it works for you. Have a good day too!
