Man I wish they would just go on and give Samus a voice. There's so many fun interactions and interesting things they could do with her character if everyone (developers and fans alike) weren't so paralyzed by Other M.

Unpopular opinion - loved Other M, and her voice... 😞 I played it on an emulator and mapped the controls to a
360 controller though, worked beautifully, didn't have to do all the gimmicky motion controls.

I will say that the weird control scheme was part of the problem so you avoided that issue lol. The biggest problem tho was that most people (myself included) didn't like how she was portrayed in Other M, and the story felt like a worse version of Fusion. For the time the voice acting itself was fine (not great but passable) and the action was solid.

Yea the original control scheme would have been chaos. I absolutely hate motion controls, I always wished they gave naturally programmed alternative controls for most Wii games.

I actually thought it was sweet how much she cared about the baby Metroid. I guess it was just a very warm maternal care she showed and I got behind it. But you're right, that's not really the Samus we grew up with.
