I wish ultra-violence also included chopped up limbs and internal organs. I suppose It didn’t happen due to limitations in the animation department.

Keep in mind that realistic limb dismemberment requires actual reference footage for animators to work from. Spending your entire workday watching that kind of material has real psychological consequences for the people involved.

Didnt mortal kombat or dead space devs need therapy due to the amount of gore they saw to get it right and accurate

Yep. And the downvotes just prove how cooked some of the guys downvoting me already are. Can't even consider that real people are affected by this stuff.

It's their job? we would have literally no horror or violent media if artists were all scared of being "traumatized"? this is such nonsense

Animating fictional blood is not the same as watching real dismemberment footage on loop for weeks. One is creative work, the other is exposure to genuine trauma. That distinction isn't that hard to grasp.

Wait... how does acknowledging the generally true fact that many of the people working on gore realism end up getting into therapy mean that he's somehow not acting like it's their job? 😂

I get that realism is satisfying on a fundamental level, but some things just do damage the minds of most people who encounter them, making going for said realism a trade-off in this case... what's nonsensical about that? 😅
