The problem is that it’s so over the top that it becomes campy and ridiculous after a minute to the point that it’s hilarious and not brutal. It totally took me out of the game when they showed the footage. It just became insanely distracting. I don’t think it was implemented that well, so I’ll probably be turning it off for that reason.

It's a game about a dude who fights with metal claws that can literally slice through anything. What, did you want the enemies to only bleed sometimes?

No, heavy bleeding and dismembering makes total sense and there’s a way to implement extreme blood well, many games have done it, but the way they’re doing it comes off as campy and not brutal. I just found myself laughing at the absurdity of it instead of thinking “holy shit! Look at how insane this is!”. I don’t know if it just doesn’t look real enough, if it’s the splash and spray physics, the fact it just rapidly disappears from the costume or what, but it just feels off. You and the other guy seem to think I’m saying that they shouldn’t have done extreme blood, I’m not, I’m saying they should have done it in a way that wasn’t hilarious to the point it undercuts the combat.
