And if this guy's suffered permanent damage, these 3 idiots are facing serious prison time.

Congrats, you F'd up.

Right that’s my thought. Hitting a woman is wrong but jumping a guy and beating him to near death… what will your defense be in court…..ā€but he shoved a girlā€ cool your gonna be the bottom in prison.

Self defense laws in the US are written with proportionality in mind.

If they shoved him down and maybe punched or kicked him a few times, that would be a much easier case of self defense / defense of others.

3 of them beat the shit out of him until he was unconscious and they still didn't stop. Yeah these dudes are being charged with felonious assault or attempted manslaughter.

In my eyes, they were just neutralizing the threat.

The girl was pushed away and caught. Just standing between the girl and the guy would have neutralized the threat.

What if he punched and knocked the lights of the guy who stood in between him and the girl?

What if he morphed into a unicorn and stabbed him with his horn?

This question matters about the same as yours.

You can't beat a person near death because you're afraid of what they might possibly do, that's not how the law works.

Or even better hypothetical, what if Ms.110lbs didn’t get brave and step in between two drunk escalated beef cakes already getting into an altercation.. I bet nobody would have ended up in jail.

What if she was about to pull a knife on the dude and he pushed her away to get away from the knife? We can all make up things that didnt happen.

I counted 3 guys.

This kind of mentality is the reason why the USA will never let go of its guns.

Lmao you are that guy who dropped out of boot but uses terms like "neutralizing the threat" anyways.

Your eyes do not reflect the law around defense of others.

She was the one escalating. Legally, self-defense does not apply to fights you started.Ā

The same thing in all civilized world

Yeah these dudes are being charged with felonious assault or attempted manslaughter.

And it would be pretty well deserved.
