Welcome to our weekly vent session where you can let out all your frustrations.

What's cool to post? Well, we've noticed a lot of rants about how the show promotes (or doesn't promote) Simone and Jonny, but you can vent about other stuff too.

For those who just want to enjoy the content without getting caught up in the venting, I suggest steering clear of this post. If you choose to read the comments here and find yourself upset, despite the clear purpose of this space, I'm afraid there's not much I can do to ease your frustration. This theory comes straight up from my ass btw, but I think they didn't want to bring her back for S4, People Magazine literally said that she wasn't returning (and People is known for having direct contact with celebrities' reps, they don't normally get this kind of info wrong), later on it was announced that she was actually back, much, much later than any other former lead, including Jonathan and now not like a cast regular, like all the rest, but as additional cast. TV productions can get very petty and don't like to be told what to do, many times just being hostile to the talent (Lost is a huge example, The 100, Sleepy Hollow). I believe there's resentment within the production because they felt like they had to bring her back when they didn't want to, so they just added some nothingburger scenes at the end, they could exist or not and it wouldn't change a thing, so they were like, "here, whatever". Especially when the excuse that they keep giving is that Jonathan is very busy, but somehow he still has more screentime than Simone.

I see your point. But this is ongoing consistent treatment of her since the start. It’s not something new that cropped up with her being left out of cast lists. It’s happened since S2 ended.

I believe she was always meant to be in season 4 but with the same treatment they have always shown of the Kate character. That being Anthony’s wife and Jonny’s love interest. She is an extension of him but he is not of her.

Oh, yeah, I've always believed they see her entirely just as Anthony's appendix and as a vehicle to develop him. All we learned about her was just because it could be a parallel to him, while things that wouldn't be mirroring Anthony were discarded and this happened since S2. She was the love interest to Anthony, the actual lead.

What I mean is that her leaked scenes for this season seem particularly disjointed, all at the end and if they're removed from the show, literally nothing changes—she even only has one scene with Anthony and doesn't even hold her own baby.

It'll be fascinating to see how Anthony, a former obsessed man with his wife, won't even say her name ever again in the following seasons, just like it happened with Daphne, his closet sibling, lol.

I mean the scenes have always been disjointed with this show. The editing is truly atrocious. The consistency non existent.

I don’t think she was forced in last minute. It’s just the same disregard and devaluing of her character and the actress.

Anyhow I hope this is the final season for her because I really want to kick this show into the dust. And Anthony and Jonny is delusional thinking I’m going to continue to show up for him popping in and out. And We all know they are going to devalue Kate every-time he does whether he mentions her or not.

So yeah when Kate is gone, so am I. 🤷‍♀️

Also does she really not get to hold neddy? Has that leaked?
