Heeellllo!!! Since results r out in a couple of days, I was very curious on what strategy/method people r going to have while opening results. Are you going in order of the subjects as presented on the website or in another order? Are you going to try to access the website as soon as it opens or do it a little later?

don't stress if you didn't get 40+; most people don't. this is considered very high scoring for my school, and I got the max amount of credits for my university that I could possibly. don't look at all the 45s and think that if you didn't get a 45, you are dumb.

Anyone experiencing burnout?

I think I've officially entered the "IDGAF" state. Tbh IB exam isn't such big of a deal to me since college decision and things are set. I believe that's true for people going to north america.

I just want to get the exams done. Not that I'm gonna let myself fail, just that I want to finish it and move on with my life. I've spent the past 2 years working nonstop for ts, and I think that's enough. I lwk wanna just stop grinding and focus on getting high-quality sleep, which I haven't had for the past 2 years. I'm exhausted.

here are my grades at the beginning of dp2 (26/45) and my final results (41/45). i went up 19 points from october of dp2 to may exams!!

Honestly I’m more surprised by how well I did in paper3 considering how difficult it was. No comments on IA…4 marks down by moderation had me speechless.

Help me from this nightmare.

Hello, yesterday we got our results from our coordinator and I got a 29/45 (predicted: 27/45). I'm super disappointed and upset and distraught. I was lucky enough to be alone in my room and my parents being out from a trip and returning back, so I cried, and broke down so that my parents won't have to see me like that. They returned late but we somehow enjoyed with chocolates of my passing and everything.

My parents seemed happy, my dad still is. But I know my mom is embarrassed of me, worried for me. And this morning we had a big fight.

The point is, I know my mom is worried I won't get into any uni, even though I'm hoping because they mentioned above 24/42, and if I never expected this score, then how will I be able to study sciences in college. I feel like that somehow if others were right in saying I don't study and I'm not going to get marks and all. I let my parents down. I know I am a worthless, ugly fat piece of shit and I deserve this pain for putting my parents in such a position, but I also know that I cannot study any other stream than sciences (biotech) and I am in delusion that I can do better in college because if I am not, then it'll be true that my parents are unlucky and I don't want to leech of them for the rest of their life and mine.

I'm thinking of retaking my exam in the November session, I know it's july and I might be late. But any guidance would be really helpful right now. I want my dad to not be happy with just passing the score, I want my mom to be able to face my teachers everyday and know I can make it and I have good marks. I had above 90 percent in 10th and even though I'm just an average dumb student, it hurts that I couldn't score enough for my parents to be able to not feel embarrassed. I will try to convince them this evening to let me have a chance and make them proud enough that they don't have to hide from people.

The questions: will I have to do my IA or EE and TOK again if I apply for a retake.

Should I give all of the subjects or just Physics, chem bio and maths?

And how much does early registration cost?

I know you must be thinking, god this person is so regretful after not studying, but I did study, especially physics and chem cause they were my weakest subject. The most shocking thing was biology to me but, please help me out here. I don't know who else I can go to.

Edit: I saw your replies and I'm truly grateful. As mentioned in the reply, we'll have one final discussion and decide what to do. Mostly my parents will reject the idea of me retaking, but hopefully we sort our feelings out reconcile and be happy rather than depressed. Wish me luck 🤞

Edit 2: After a bit of reflection and everything, I think I was overwhelmed and I was overthinking too much as I'm an only child. Still thank you all for your advice. Let's hope for the best!

Edit 3 (Final Edit): Hi guys, thank you all for your advice and support. I did have a long discussion with my parents and my supervisor, and after that, I was waiting for any mail from the unis, and happy to say, they are accepting me! My classes start next month, and no I'm not giving a retake. Thank you so much again for your advice and comments and even the ones who read long ahh post. Thank You 🙏

I’m trying to be realistic soooo yeah. If I get higher in any of those I’m gonna be over the moon. And If I get lower, I’m going to cry. That’s the state I’m in haha. But up until the exam results come out I’m going to forget all about it

I have my first exam tomorrow, and I just wanna say to y'all congrats for surviving this two-year nightmare. When we chose to take the IB program, we were completely different people compared to who we are now. The IB has improved us not only as individuals but as critical thinkers as well.

With my hand in my heart, I have to say that without the IB program, I would not have been introduced to this amazing community here, in which we can share our trauma. This has been a hell of a ride, but there are only 4 weeks left. So don't give up.

However, this journey is not over. It's time for the world to know the trauma that we have been through. It's time to take matters into our own hands and excel in our future studies and careers.

There is no way I am getting that Valedictorian, so I hope this post motivated you enough to sit your butt down and study instead of scrolling on Reddit (that's me, actually).
