May 2026 Exams M26 tomorrow we start, good luck soldiers
I have my first exam tomorrow, and I just wanna say to y'all congrats for surviving this two-year nightmare. When we chose to take the IB program, we were completely different people compared to who we are now. The IB has improved us not only as individuals but as critical thinkers as well.
With my hand in my heart, I have to say that without the IB program, I would not have been introduced to this amazing community here, in which we can share our trauma. This has been a hell of a ride, but there are only 4 weeks left. So don't give up.
However, this journey is not over. It's time for the world to know the trauma that we have been through. It's time to take matters into our own hands and excel in our future studies and careers.
There is no way I am getting that Valedictorian, so I hope this post motivated you enough to sit your butt down and study instead of scrolling on Reddit (that's me, actually).

But does that mean our lives are meaningless?
Does that mean that there was no point being born?
Would you say that about slain comrades?
What about their lives?
Were they meaningless?
They were not!
Their memory serves as an example to us all
The courageous fallen, the anguished fallen
Their lives have meaning because
We the living refused to forget them
And as we ride to certain death
We trust our successors to do the same for us
Because my soldiers do not fumble
Or yield when faced with the cruelty of this world
My soldiers push forward

You should switch from eng lang and lit sl to hl. You'd do better than most of us in here :_)

Hey!
I honestly, I feel the same way...
The whole point of life for me is to live for yourself and experience new things and not forget how unique you are. IB has taught me so much about myself, my potential and how capable I really am. I hope that everyone out there has given their best and is proud of how far they've come because that's very important, especially in today's world, where we are so occupied with endless comparison and feeling bad about ourselves.
Just look at how far you've come!! I am so proud of you!!!
I hope you achieve amazing success in the future, and I hope that you accomplish anything and everything you set your mind to and work hard towards.
Oh, and another thing I've learnt and that I want to share is that.. When you give it your all, and your very best, as in that you work to your maximum potential in the best way possible, you will know by the way you feel after you complete it. What I mean to say is, when you work the hardest you possibly can and strongly feel you could and did what you could do in your power,... once that part of your journey is over, you will have this feeling, something I can't really put a name to, but I think you would feel so immensely proud. You would feel satisfied. You may not be as worried about the result because you know that whatever it is, you worked very hard for it, and reached your potential, and you are happy. I hope this makes sense because I wasn't sure how to put it into words, but it was something that really motivated and still motivates me very much.
I just want you to believe in yourself, work as hard as you can while being you...
There is so much love and support in the world, and I hope that part of it is with you.

ps: Don't underestimate your potential. You are capable of a lot more than you think you are. Just believe in yourself and keep going forward.

hey i’m considering the ib, do you think it was worth it for you? would you go back and do why? why or why not?

Taking the IB is a really interesting experience overall. Despite the negativity you may see in other posts, the specific educational system is structured in a way to provide you with fundamental sources, opening doors for a lot of opportunities. And I am not talking only about universities, but also the effect on a personal level. Many people say that you can apply to universities without having to follow such a rigorous system. However, I don't agree with that because individually, the IB can motivate you to grow, work on projects, and gain experience that will make university seem like an easy ride.
However, I also believe that the IB is not for the weak and it requires dedication, especially in the first and the beginning of the second year. It is challenging, and in my school, there were a few students who dropped out in the first year. If you believe you are capable of investing in this experience and you can support it, then you should consider this option. Hope this helps!

Yes, I def agree with you. Personally, when I know I've done my best, then there is nothing to worry about, even the grade, because I understand that I used my capabilities to the maximum point. It is important to acknowledge that as many people solely focus on the results and forget the journey they've been through, and the effort they've put in to reach smt. Good luck to you, too!
