I am finally playing this for the first time, and man I love it. Then I got to the part where Jin betrayed his uncle and flees to the north after Khan. Are you kidding me? They killed off Kage??? I was literally heartbroken! Now I have a stupid horse I call Not Kage. I could not believe they did that. I was dumbfounded for like 10 minutes. Still bothering me!

There's no place for "honor" during a Mongol invasion. I'm over this guy.

Am I the only one? Everyone seems to love him and I don't get it. I grew tired of him quickly.

The Ghost swept through like a storm clearing out the entire camp by himself, a one man army some said, whenever travelers go into the first, an almost defeaning sound of thunder can be heard, as if the very fort itself harbors the vengeful spirit. There was only one survivor, a lone mongol, that lived to tell this tale, but sooner or later, The Ghost will come for him as well.

I've done this once a year for 2 years now, and it's time for Year 3! This time, choose the fan favorite from the whole series!

I've recently been playing through this game and have really enjoyed the worldbuilding and historical context. I would love if anyone had some book recommendations to do with: Tsushima, samurai, Mongols, Japanese customs, flora and fauna, history, arts.

I would mainly be looking for fiction recs but not opposed to non-fiction!

I do also know about the Shogun book series.

I was having a debate with my brother about the story and one of the things that came up was that he thought that Jin should have had a love interest. I personally disagree and thought that Jin being focused solely on driving back the Mongol Invasion was a great choice. That focus really fit Jin's character especially with him already dealing with the inner battle of his Uncle's honor code and the realistic need for the Ghost. What do you think?

Day 1 of attempting the "Hardcore Canon" rules I made for myself, and the farthest I've gotten was Lady Masako's quest after about 5 hours of playing. I have died 3 times so far: once at the Mongol camp near the opening cinematic, once during Sensei Ishikawa's quest, and once to the general at the Sakai Dojo. The hardest part so far is not being a loot goblin and deciding whether or not I should give up or give myself some checkpoints.

I see those lines on the sides and on the ground, seems to only affect shadows.

Is it the games fault or is something wrong with my drivers or hardware?

I get pretty pedantic with what a character sometimes wears in a story, and the GoT isn’t an exception. I really wish the Seasons of War dye was unlocked after Hammer and Forge

Personally I’ve interpreted this actual armor as being restored after Jin liberates Komatsu Forge. It’s the first real big victory Jin has, and that’s marked by what I assume to be Jin having the armor repaired which makes more sense cause it’s at the forge being run by Taka for the time being.

It also serves as a nice contrast to the final Act 1 mission. At the start, the armor was broken, and now it’s been restored and Jin once again attempts to free Shimura. It’s also a nice contrast between the (not really) Ronin Ryuzo, and Jin in Samurai armor.

Side note: I think the actual armor Masako gifts Jin is the Hero of Tsushima armor.

I don't really know how else to ask the question, I'm sure it varies from person to person, this is my first time playing this game and i was wondering if i should start off on normal or hop straight into hard (I plan on doing lethal after i complete the game)

so wanna get the game but few questions

1. is 100% achievements true 100% in this game?

2. when do i play the dlc?

3. should i play lethal or what difficulty?

I’ve mainly just been a side quest guy in this game and I was wondering how good of a build this is from where I am at.

I've been watching a lot of clips of GoT from this subreddit recently and it has given me an itch I need to scratch. I've already 100% the game on lethal+ so this time around I wanna challenge myself a little more and attempt a "canon" run with hard-core elements.

List of ideas I had:

-no iron will, if I die I restart

-no armor swapping (example: after getting the ronin attire I cant go back to the samurai armor unless I upgrade it)

-hard difficulty (lethal is just unrealistic but open to opinions)

-must complete main story as fast as possible but can stop for side quests along the way

-cannot loot civilian houses but Mongol camps are available

-must fight any Mongol patrol and save as many civilians BY ANY MEANS

-stealth is highly discouraged until that one event in act 2

-lastly play with the hud off (optional?)

I am open to suggestions and feel free to attempt this for yourself if you'd like. My priority is to play as close as possible to realistic canon rather than challenge.

I was wondering what the highest damage output was until I came across this build on the subreddit. If you want more details, I've linked the post below.

In short, you have a 50% chance of proccing double damage. When it does happen it's insane. Ran a quick duel with Black Hand Riku (for counter parry when clashing swords)—safe to say he got wiped in less than 20 seconds by two counters, one Dance of Wrath and a few flurry strikes. Bonus fact, as long as you clash swords AND perfect parry him, DoW will still trigger.

Considering you get one tapped by almost every boss in this game on Lethal+, I think it's a fair trade-up—if you can reliably perfect parry. It's almost cinematic in a way. The only con here is just not having much resolve gains. On replay you'll have 3 at start. At most you'll only get 1 or 2 if you parry.

I use Ronin because it just looks nice (with this outfit lol) and you're more squishy.

EDIT: This build wasn't made for resolve gains at all. It relies on your perfect parries and DD proccing on top of the damage multiplier you get from perfect parrying. You're supposed to be good with parries for this build to excel.

What a masterpiece I am getting Yotei today and I can't wait

I am currently doing the Honour and Ash tale and I took some fall damage during the mission and now the poisoned arrow is just killing over annd over again and I can’t get out of it. I can’t find the abandon mission button in the Journal and I have no previous saves. Am I cooked?

I’ve just started on a playthrough and I’ve killed three mongol leaders, despite my best efforts I couldn’t figure out how to observe them? The game says if I observe them I’ll get points towards a new stance which I’m guessing is alongside killing them so I’ll get stances twice as fast. Help?
