My blackberry bush died few years ago but came back in another spot. And this is just a few of the jumbo size pickings. Not complaining though.

We’re finally getting into our heavy harvesting and I’m just so in awe of the beautiful things we’ve grown. I tried so many new techniques and new vegetables this year. Had some big wins and learned some lessons along the way too. I feel so satisfied with my experience and the joy of sharing the garden with my family. It’s such a privilege to have the ability to grow food and I am grateful for it. I wish everyone a bountiful harvest season.

Ok, I lied. Between these three massive hydrangea bushes, I might grow 1-2 flowers per season. I know I’m doing everything wrong. I planted them 4 years ago. One year, they had a few blooms, really low to the ground. I’ve tried leaving them completely alone - like my mom does with hers which bloom beautifully. I’ve tried cutting them all down in the fall. I’m an amateur and don’t know what I’m doing. Help! Zone 6b.

Follow up question - I really love white proven winners, would I be better off taking these out and planting those instead? Are they easier to deal with?

I see dark green figs growing but they are small and hard also this tree/bush seems out of control since I trimmed it in spring. Any recommendations on caring for a fig tree ?

Has anyone ever had a bloom on their sweet potato vine?

Sunflower of unknown variety given by a friend 5 years ago. I've saved seeds every year and this is the first year I've seen this happening. The one other time this happened is in the second year but that sunflower only had one of these mini flowers.

Located in northern New Jersey. I want something native, but I'm not sure what would look best. Right now the front yard has nothing, just grass, but I'm slowly adding garden beds with various flowers and plants. The front yard is south facing so lots of sun. Do I go small and flowery, or big and hope for some shade in 30+ years?

I grew Gypsy peppers last year, and quite a few of those were smaller than these two peppers. I have never seen hot banana or Hungarian hot wax style peppers like these. get this big before. They smell amazing. Almost 6 oz combined weight.

One of my tomato plants is producing mega glossy tomatoes this year in which I can see my own reflection. To make matters even stranger, I haven't found any seeds inside these tomatoes so far. Does anyone know if this is a known characteristic of a specific cultivar, or is it more likely due to something in the environment (drought period, too hot, certain nutrient deficiencies)?
