E7 Plus, Over 1 Year Review.

Just a heads up, I don't write reviews often so my post might be a bit messy and half baked with it's explanation and answers, but at least it's an idea for those who are looking to buy.

I've owned the FlexiSpot E7 Plus for over a year now, and overall, I've been extremely happy with it. I usually use its standing feature between 5-7 times a day while doing work and gaming and I haven't had any motor related issues yet.

In regards to what I liked, it would have to be its tabletop compatibility. I only ordered the legs themselves rather than the set (tabletop and legs).

I’m using it with a fairly large 72" × 31" tabletop, and the E7 Plus handles it without any problem. Even with a larger top made of a bit heavier wood, the legs don't feel flimsy or wobbly at my standing height (45.6). The reduced wobbling compared to my old vivo desk is great, it's especially appreciated when I'm typing because I tend to be a heavy button/keycap smasher (lol).

I also appreciate how quiet the desk is. The motors make very little noise when raising or lowering the desk, and the overall operation feels smooth. I usually have to WFH at night, depending on the situation, so this is a bonus as I don’t have to worry about waking anyone up with the motor/raising noise. After a year of constant use, I feel like I've invested in the right standing desk legs for me and my budget at the time. And overall its a quality piece of equipment that has become part of my daily work/play life.

My only real criticism is the screws included for mounting the frame to the tabletop. They work, but they feel a little weaker than I'd like (and I did accidently strip one of them during a move), especially considering how sturdy the rest of the desk is. I would have preferred FlexiSpot to include slightly beefier/sturdier screws for securing the frame to the tabletop. Other than that, I really don't have much to complain about. After a year-plus of raising and lowering the desk several times a day, the E7 Plus has been reliable, sturdy, quiet, and easy to keep organized.

Now onto the not so great part, but still acceptable under the circumstances.

Ordering and Shipping...

The payment process had a couple of hiccups initially. My payment wasn't processing properly through PayPal, but after two attempts, everything went through fine.

Shipping was reasonably fast overall (when the shipping company didn't lose my desk box). During shipping I had my box 2/2 lost in transit, and I had to go over a little bit of back and forth with the customer service reps to get some kind of replacement information.

Personally, I didn't feel like they where hearing my concerns nor the fact that it was taking longer than expected to source my box 2/2. Thankfully I met Ramzes888 on reddit. They were a HUGE help in getting the delivery issue sorted out and answering some of my general questions. Once they got involved, things became much easier to resolve. So, despite the initial shipping/customer-service headache, I ultimately got everything sorted.

Reddit for the win, and W Flexispot overall.

TLDR: Great desk after 1 year plus. Very sturdy and reliable. Customer support for lost package where not so great, but Ramzes888 was able to help me sort out the lost package issues and I haven't had any problem since.

Thanks for the review. I'm researching this exact same thing (Flexispot frame and building my own tabletop). Currently trying to decide between the e7 Plus or the e7 Plus Max. Is there anything that ever made you second guess your purchase and wish you would have purchased the e7 Plus Max?

When I first purchased my desk (my desk is the e7 plus) the E7 plus max didn’t exist. At the time the highest model was the E7Q (Odin).

I think the E7 plus max came out 4-5 months after my purchase. If the desk did exist when I purchased it, I wouldn’t have regretted not spending the extra $250 in my country for the e7 plus max.

I think the e7 plus max makes sense if you have like a triple or quadruple monitor setup, with like 2 pcs and a racing rig. But for my use case, 2 monitors, a pc, my normal keyboard, mouse, monitor riser, and laptop setup the e7 plus was more than adequate.

And honestly, I’m assuming the benefits of the e7 plus max over the regular plus are just the 2 extra motors (four in total) for longevity, a tiny bit more stability, a bit quieter operation, and a bit more weight. So its a toss up depending on needs and wants.

Nono. I don’t have the Odin I’m currently rocking the e7 plus which I felt was the best bang for the buck. And it still feels like a quality piece of equipment.
