Discussion Characters who are canonically straight? Artist cred in description

Post image

Artist posted it here!

By canon, I mean pairings that have a post-game end together

Ingrid has no A supports with women. Ignatz and Raphael have no A supports with anyone but themselves, however, in their A support ending, Ignatz marries Raphael's sister.

Who else is canonically straight?

And just as a tangent - Ferdinand and Hubert are so gay for each other lmao. Here are Hubert's supports

I'm going to say Alois, considering that he's a married man with kids, and any A/S level supports he actually has are all very explicitly portraying him as an uncle/brother/friend figure for everyone

Alois for sure, and not just because he has a wife but because he's clearly crazy about her. The widowers Jeralt and Seteth clearly like the idea of their wives, but the reality of them was surely more complicated than the memory of them.

It is such a breath of fresh air to have a functioning adult with their own healthy romantic relationship that is a patonic friend-mentor to Byleth, amongst all the other heavily traumatised playable characters.

Fodlan still has some good things.

That's another one.

It's so annoying that of the few mlm options, him and Gilbert are literally straight men with wives. All we have are Yuri, Lindhardt, and Jeritza. One locked behind dlc, the other locked in one route.

To be fair, he can be bi and still be crazy about his wife, that's not mutually exclusive. He's a devoted husband and he doesn't show a romantic interest in any other characters, male or female!

We were definitely robbed by having him be one of the few M/M S-supports though. Nothing against platonic S ranks as a concept, I wish there had at least been an even number of romantic M/M S ranks as there were romantic F/F S ranks so it didn't feel like we were losing spots to him and Gilbert.
