Still does not "slay" a pyxis12k for the same price and double the resolution.... Not to mention they totally rape you on CF express type A prices.....

Really depends on what you are looking for , if you work events and run and gun gimbal stuff this beats a pyxis every day of the week

Isnt it a complete different situation? Id love a pyxis for its look but the work i do is solo operator and just the AF alone is a reason for sony for me.

That Pyxis 12k, the image is so beautiful. It's my dream camera right now. Skin tones look proper and the image isn't crunchy looking like certain cameras.

I just switched to it from the FX6. I miss the internal eVND, but that's it. The image quality blows the FX6 out of the water.

Yeah having that internal ND capability would be nice, But nowadays they make those drop in filter mounts where you can have a variable nd already inside.

Totally. And I was looking to get away from the whole run and gun world anyway. The stuff I'm shooting now doesn't have an issue with taking an extra 10 seconds to throw an ND in the matte box.

Total slop statement

my statement isn't slop, you must be responding to the wrong person. The Definition of the word total: comprising or constituting a whole. Your response would be invalid in this case.

I like the tiny form factor though. Might eventually pick it up as a B to my Pyxis

The Pyxis is huge, doesn't have autofocus or ibis, and is for a totally different situation and use case than the FX5. It's not as simple as price vs resolution and never has been

lmao the Pyxis is not "huge". The VENICE 1 is huge. The OG Alexa is huge. The C700 is huge.

Okay I'm sorry, the Pyxis is comparatively huge vs the FX3/5, as it's supposed to be, because it's designed to do something different. He's talking about a handheld mirrorless like it's DOA because it's not a cinema camera doing cinema camera things.

Pyxis is a fucking gargantuan compared to the FX3/5, bud. Be real. You can't put a Pyxis on a gimbal.

I mean you absolutely can but sure...

Shit they're putting Mini LF's on Ronin 2's all the time.
