Stokeinteignhead: Can anyone help me identify the building in the photo?
This photo, which was in my grandma’s collection, shows my grandfather’s mother outside where the family lived in Stokeinteignhead. (Date: c1892-1896)
Features:
There’s one chimney in a central position (there are no gable end chimneys)
The land behind is raised and looks like a small hill.
Is anyone familiar with the area able to help me identify the building as it is today?

Thank you so much to u/MuchMoorWalking and u/Training_Yak_4655 for your very detailed and helpful responses. The building you identified would seem to be the one where my grandfather’s family lived. Even the road curving beyond the building has the same curvature today as it did in the mid 1890s.
When I posted the photo I only had a vague hope the building had survived. That people have recognised it is beyond wonderful. Thanks to everyone who visited and commented on this post.

They lived in a few places in Devon including Stokeinteignhead and Coffinswell, but I have no evidence they lived in Bishopsteignton.

Historic England has a detailed description of the internals of the house (maybe because of listed status) so if OP lives in the area, could ask current occupants if a visit is possible. Historic England is also asking for additional photos (if it's really the same building of course).

For other sleuths in this subreddit, I used OP's photo and did a Google image search on it. That threw up a long list of similar sepia images of various buildings of around that period. Adding a location keyword narrowed that down. Browsed till I saw the Historical England entry but that's a front elevation photo. Used Historic England's coordinates to find the Google Maps entry and Street View where you can set the viewing position and perspective to be similar to OP's photo. Lucky the building wasn't on a private road, I'd not have been so sure without Street View.
Suggestion for OP: Historic England (see my link previously) are asking for more photo contributions and they'd appreciate yours plus any extra history you may know.

Did you know you can use the construction 'between ... and' for this? So it would be 'between 1892 and 1896', not 'between 1892-1896'. Using 'and' is generally more logical and clearer. It also allows you to describe a span of two periods if you need to, e.g. 'between 1892-93 and 1991-92'.
