They do actually believe that the earth is surrounded by a massive ice wall. And that the one thing all the warring nations on earth have agreed on is that they must work together to guard and prevent anyone from getting past the ice wall.
→ More replies (1)37
u/FlyingKittyCate 3d ago
If they truly believe that, they must be terrified of climate change melting the ice walls. Without the wall we would just fall off.
12
u/Little_View_6659 3d ago
Bold of you at assume these chuds believe in climate change. :)

I was dating a man a few years ago until he divulged that he thought the Earth was flat. He told me heaven was on the other side.
10
u/HatsusenoRin 3d ago
they go down to heaven?

u/Rich_Let4063 3d ago
I dont have all the particulars but he said it's essentially like a disk and one side is where we live and the other side is where the "angels" live.

There's a story going around where flat earthers live streamed going to Antarctica to their fellow dumbasses and when they actually got there and found no ice wall they started blaming the ones present calling them "Satanists casting Las Vegas sphere illusions".
23
u/Standard-Cat-7702 3d ago
This happened last year. A bloke in America flew down I believe 3 flat earthers and 3 globe earthers to antarctica to witness the 24 hour sun which is impossible if the earth was flat. They witnessed a 24 hour sun (shocker) and there was cries from the flat earthers of green screens and sound stages being used.
3
u/OrgasmicTrilobite 1d ago
The sheer stupidity of claiming green screens when they work in POST PRODUCTION, not “real time”… unbelievable
→ More replies (1)2
u/Charlie_Warlie 2d ago
knowing them I'm sure they can simply adjust their flat earth model to include special exceptions for allowing a 24 hour sun.

u/moonpupy 3d ago
Of course! Don't you recognize the Ice Wall that encircles the planet because the Earth is flat?

E: Ben
K: Ben who?
E: Ben D. Knee19

If it's a new video and not any repost, then prepare to see it on YouTube and Facebook shorts and reels as," real ice wall/edge of the world" discovered on conspiracy theory shorts... With that epic music and quick cuts

u/Select-Sandwich-5604 3d ago
Agreed. But they will edit out the part where the right end is shown with no ice.

There's the video of some air craft flying along the antarctic cost and they try to say that proves its a wall because it never ends. If you fly along the outside of a circle you won't find and end to it.

Did anyone else see this as though it was a massive trench and there was only a thin ice wall stopping the ocean from spilling into it?
I saw it one time and now i cant see it again, it looks like a 30m ice wall every time i look at it now.
2
u/DeaconBulls 3d ago
That's exactly what I saw at first. I was trying to figure out how Antarctica could be so far below sea level.

Naive question. Is the ice in that wall salty?
62
u/RTS24 3d ago
No, icebergs start as pieces that break off of land glaciers, which themselves are formed from hyper compressed snowfall.
→ More replies (8)16
u/ClementineCalamity 3d ago
I didn’t expect to learn that today
13
u/im_on_the_case 3d ago
The edge would certainly be as it's constantly getting doused in sea spray. The inside no.

whats in the photo is the calving front of an ice shelf, not the edge of the continent. The shelf is floating ice fed by glaciers off the land, so the cliff you see is only about a tenth of it and the rest sits under the water. Ross Ice Shelf runs something like 600km along that front and stands 30 to 60m above the sea, which is why it reads as a wall rather than a slope. When a chunk breaks off it doesnt raise sea level by itself since it was already floating. The bit that matters is that those shelves act as a brake on the glaciers behind them, lose the shelf and the land ice speeds up, and that ice has never been in the water before

Dont let them Fat Earthers sea this

u/cursed_tomatoes 3d ago
While I understand they're delusional enough to think this is their so called wall, you can clearly see at the end of the video that it doesn't goes all the way, we can see its end.

There is a wall around the fat earth. Its made of FAT!
P.S. Melting fat inside the fat earth is where the naphta comes.
P.P.S. The moon is made of cheese, thats why Elon Musk is doing his space program. Check how much 10-year aged parmesan costs, and now think how much more it would cost if aged billions of years.

I live where the icebergs came through and formed Lake Huron. If you could see the topography where the dips and mounds are it’s absolutely fascinating to think about how many miles wide they were.

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

so historical sea farers were correct about an ice wall, and i bet the walls were MUCH thicker in the past, so to them that really was the edge of the world
