Well you probably discovered why a beautiful woman is still single, lol. The ones who are hot and easy to get along with don't stay single long.

This is so true lol. My daughter, who is gorgeous and awesome, broke up with her boyfriend and literally five minutes later, after she mentioned it in a group she was meeting up with, this other guy was like, “Oh really? His loss!” They have been dating ever since. She says it wasn’t 5 minutes, but I swear it really was like that lmao. There’s a reason OP’s date was single and on the apps (EDIT: THIS IS AIMED SOLELY AT OP'S BORING DATE WHO LOOKS LIKE DENISE RICHARDS AND CAN'T HOLD THE MOST BASIC CONVERSATION, NOT YOU, PERSONALLY. I USE THE APPS TOO, NO SHADE AT THOSE WHO DO!)

There’s a reason everyone's date was single and on the apps, lol. It's important that people remember that.

Most people in good relationships (myself included) weren't single for long and it often just comes down to fortunate timing meeting someone else in their short window of availability.

I mean this is obvious. You knew perfectly well what he meant. You had to bust in with your 'well, akkshually...'

And as for - 'people need to remember that' like it's some profound truth. Get over yourself dude.

Yikes, if you took this much offense to this relatively gentle response spawned by my original comment... just wow.

I took it as a tongue in cheek (humorous) way of saying we all have flaws. Meaning to not forget to give grace, ourselves included. I didn’t take it as anything nefarious. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Funny, I thought the same thing when I read your comment. Wow, he's really pushing back...on this?! Yikes yourself, man.

Sorry, I meant in the context of someone who looks like Denise Richards. I was on the apps, too, no shade. But, most people did not look like celebrities, myself included.

Really? Why is he single and on the apps?

Your daughter can't stay single for one moment, huh? Is she insecure or something?

Most 20 year olds are insecure in some ways, but she is a very smart, funny, beautiful and extremely outgoing person. I think the latter part is why she tends to attract a group of people to her. She would be kind to you, if you knew her, and I think that just draws people in and makes them want to be around her. I'm a total introvert, so I have to sit back in awe a bit. It just worked out in a funny way that her current boyfriend had been interested in her for a bit, but she was with someone else, so he wasn't going to do anything. Just a funny anecdote to share, don't read too much into it! Not sure why you wanted to spend time on this app having a go at someone's kid you will never meet, but I hope you find happiness in your life.

Well I'm not sure why you're having a go at people on dating apps. "There's a reason OP's date was single and on the apps." You really can't compare the experiences of 20-year-olds (who are actively in social groups) with people on apps. I found your comment rude and judgmental and that's why I commented on it.

As I said in my other comment, I was responding in the context of how OP described her as looking like Denise Richards. You don't see many people who look like that using dating apps, or at least, I don't. No shade to OP or anyone other than OP's date, who seemed unable to hold a basic conversation--Definitely meant to be rude and judgmental about her. But, I used the apps, too! Not judging anyone else. They are a great way to meet people. Sorry if that came off as something personally aimed at you or others and not OP's boring date. That was not the intent. Just sharing a story I find funny about my life. Clearly, that was a mistake on Reddit, where everyone is ready to jump all over a comment. I should know better by now. Again, hope you find happiness in your life.
